Bullied too

I was bullied at school, as well. I was very studious and serious about my studies. Typical nerd, I guess. Girls do it much more overtly, of course, therefore it is more difficult for others to realise what is happening. It took me many years to get over it and unfortunately I now have to try to curb my waspish tongue which I had cultivated as a defence mechanism. The emotional scars of bullying stay long after the physical scars have faded.

One Effective Way

I was bullied in school because I was a small kid. My father had passed away and my uncle taught me to fight back. I did. I took several years, lots of detentions, but I eventually won. By the time I was in high school, no one bullied me. If I saw someone else getting hammered, I would step in. Now it was an even fight. I did not loose. Today, I 'm a security consultant and weapons instructor. Moral of the story, prayer works, but sometimes you have to get your knuckles bloodied by the blood of the enemy in order to stop the enemy. God honors and protects those who fight for justice.

Sad but not surprising

These students just perfectly demonstrated by-stander Syndrome. (Yes, that is an official term) The more people watching, the less likely someone will step in. That boy who stepped in was really brave, and most people wouldn't do that. Once one person steps in, often others start to help as well, but sadly here they didn't.

I didn't think this was jewlarious at all. Bullying is such a serious matter. Maybe the all of the stand by's should have stood up to the bulllies!!!

dangerous undertaking

These days bullying can have unforseen consequences as seen in several revenge killings or suicides. Bullies beware: not all small people are small thinkers or passive.
