NUTS!

I am disabled and retired. Without the 'Net I'd feel even more isolated than I am at times. Leave the Internet? Nope! But I limit my time on it. When my pre-set time is up off goes the machine and I will move onto the next item on that day's agenda. Sewer? Not where I visit.

I'm really agree with Paul .

Shalom :) I just watched this video , and I do it pretty much same into my life. Reduce a time for internet and , beguin visit local Library ( books/ CD ) . And this's much better, then houers and houers at computer. I don't want reject internet at all , but doesn't spent to much time on it . Just make a differnce in my life :) Have a good one , everyone !

I loved the analogy of the sewer to the internet. It is a utility but we don't go down into it. Brilliant!

One word!

The answer almost always is "in moderation"! Eat, drink, play and work never should be over done, always in moderation! And that's it!

Seriously, this is one of the most interesting things I've seen

I understand where you are coming from. I've recently lessened my time at the internet and have already read three books. I used to try and play the piano (not well) but the internet was more fun so I stopped trying. I don't know, you could be on to something. Good luck!

Great message

This was a great video and very relevant. As Rabbi Moshe Weinberger (Cong Aish Kodesh, Woodmere, NY) recently said, "Af filter doesn't change the person who goes online.". He says that filters are needed, but we have to address the person who uses the Internet and talk about Yiras Shamayim (fear or Heaven).

A pioneer step!

I so admire that you are pioneering this step, because someday we ALL will have to re-connect to our lives...and you will be our Davey Crockett....please somehow, let us know what is happening, I'd suggest, perhaps, journaling the journey! Not really pioneering...

Hi, this is a cute video blog, but realize that there are thousands of us out in the world who have never gotten really sucked into the internet, we use it only for shopping, education, and work, (less than an hour or 2 a day) and give our children little to no access until they are mature enough to use it responsibly.

1st of all, you are saying that "(less than an hour or 2 a day)" isnt considered being sucked in, butt if you really think about it thats close to 2 full days a month spent on the internet! 2nd and more importantly, you wrote "and give our children little to no access until they are mature enough to use it responsibly." your kid even an older teenager can be the most responsible kid in the world, but assuming that he is healthy then he has a very strong urge to use the internet for inappropriate things.(and any parent who says my kid would never do such a thing" is terribly mistaken.) No matter how responsible your son is, the internet is a 'minefield' and not to be gone on without the necessary filters and guidelines.
