All People Can Be the Same

This video from Revenge of the Nerds, is an allegory to what we Jews have faced throughout history with persecution. This is why our grandparents escaped Eastern Europe, Russia, and Western Europe trom the progroms and the evil that so many so-called beautful people of so-called Ayrian race of Gemans following the insanity that embraced that Cultured country. Those Jews that could and did escape tried successfully to assimilate into American and British lifestyles. If we as Jews ask who else feels left out downtrodden, discriminated against, join us as we are all alike and should embrace the family that we were told G-d created for all of us. Like the late George Carland said, just you might wear a hat and the other guy does not wear a hat is not justification for hatred to develop. Do not give into hate, that truly leads to the dark side of humanity's life in misery. Far better to embrace the light of humanity for all to learn to try to understand one another and try to find common ground so we can all exist on spaceship Planet Earth for the betterment of all Mankind.

Why is this video on a Jewish website? I think because Jews are the ones in the world designed by G-d to swim against the current. And even though we’re not the majority (unlike in this video) we will eventually have the positive acclaim of the world when they realize our values are right. As it says in Psalms: “The stone that was despised by the builders has become the cornerstone.” (Psalms Ch. 118) In the meantime we are ridiculed. Being different means forcing others to call into question why they are not different in the same way. It’s especially uncomfortable when the reasons are not good reasons; when the different people are in some way better. When the reason for not being different is laziness or complacency or bigotry or a lack of concern about injustice, etc., etc. Then it really hurts. So it’s easier to ridicule than to change. Adam

we're vulnerable

i think the reason why we ridicule those who are different is because it thereatens who we are... there's 'strength in numbers'- we feel good and validated when others are just like us... or maybe we ridicule because we feel inferior- cuz we wish we had the confidence to be different, but smehow just keep on melting into the crowd, and going w the flow....

Everyone is a NERD

I love it!! This is Awesome!! I personally think that in every society or situation you are.... More people than you think, think of themselves as different and NERDY!! i.e. Undeserving of popularity and or inferior because to a certain extent most people are insecure about themselves and how others relate to them because they can only see as far as their brain takes them!! Congrats!! And gluck!! to all those nerds in real life!! Stand up for yourslelf!1 Not in a protest.... just value yourself.... There are more people like you then you think!!!!
