Oddly Enough, Colbert Has a Good Point
I've occasionally thought about a rule of thumb similar to Mr. Colbert's: if you're debating between two choices, the harder/less pleasant option is generally the right one. After all, if the easier one was right there probably would not be a dilemma. This obviously does not always work, but it's something to consider when you're torn.

Today's media is one big business! What's crazy is is that they get the attention and respect that they do not deserve!! And they say what the audience wants to hear and not what is true or should be said! It makes me so sad to see that the sarcasm and cynicism that has destroyed so many lives and marriages today's days is idolized!!

Todays short attention dictates this type of talk, what too bad is that I really wanted to head more of what the guest had to say...but hey its not his show.

Colbert Calls Attention
I'm not exactly enamored of Colbert's interview style, but he calls the attention of a huge audience to important issues and sources the audience can consult to engage with the issues.

Great example of how hard it is for us to seperate good and evil.
I have heard great commentary on what it meant for us to have partaken of the tree of good and evil. The two best are from R. David Fohrman and Dr. Walter Oakly, to give credit. At the risk of oversimplifying what they taught, they emphasized that the tree caused a knowing (know in Hebrew is Dahat... experiencial knowledge) that caused a mixing and a unification of the two to the point that we cannot often tell the difference between them. This interview and book seem to emphasis this.

I would love to have heard the answer
I would love to have heard the answer that the professor had. Obviously it is wrong to kill period because life belong in the hands of God and situations don't change that.

Colbert is ???
I keep forgetting that looking to Colbert for intelligent interview to self-defeating. This B'S' interview is a waste of TV money.
One can learn a lot from humor; but humor is an articulate education that tweaks the mind. You must be desperate to sell books to go on his program and be insulted. Thinkers always get the last ounce of respect.
