Who are the REAL evildoers?
It may be interesting to note that the blessing we all say to pray for the downfall of Resho'im (evildoers) starts with "Velamalshinim" which is: For the slanderers let there be no hope. It is those who slander the Jewish people and cast aspersions on our integrity, good intentions and activities, that others are ignited in hatred towards us. Yes, it is the poisonous media that are the main culprits in causing so much harm in the world. Unplug the BBC and the world might be a better place!

The meaning of "malshinim"
The meaning of "malshinim" is actually "informers." You see, the followers of Jesus used to inform the Roman authorities regarding the Jewish guerrilla fighters who were attempting to drive out the foreign invaders so that they could recover their Jewish homeland and not be required to tolerate the pagan teachings of the barbaric aliens. The informers did this so that the Romans would not retaliate against them the way they used to punish the Jews for opposing their rule. Thus, I believe it was Rabbi Shmuel HaKatan who added this nineteenth paragraph to the prayer known as the Shmoneh Esreh or Eighteen Benedictions which contained the word "malshinim." This prayer caused an uproar among worshippers who were followers of Jesus. If one of them was leading the prayer service he would skip that oration. Sometimes a riot would break out among the worshippers. This brought about the actual split between Jesus's followers and the Jewish nation. The Christians then began to pray in their own places of worship and established the Christian faith. This occurred about one hundred years after the birth of the Christian God. Jesus himself, was not a Christian. He lived and died as a liberal somewhat controversial Jew. If he were around today, he would probably pray in a Reform synagogue.

Libral media bias..sooooooo....funny.
Truly a mindset of ignorance.....
Be well-be safe and face REALITY.

I agree with #6, Sally, it is so true that I couldn't laugh, and yes as #9 said, that could be dangerous. Yet, we all need to laugh every now and then, and maybe it will be provactive enough to encourage people to make Aliyah. The step up is to realize that we cannot rely on the news, on the governments of the world and only on Hashem, G-d-our only true "friend" are honest reporter. Yasher koach on the video!

No more media bias
I love this! It's so true. Now if we'd all shut off our TVs during the news. I get all my news about Israel from Aish, my favourite source. : )

Attacking the most vile propaganda and political machinations through intelligent humour such as this, reminds of the life-loving Filipinos who have toppled down a vicious Philippine dictator in 1987 by poking fun at his evil intents....

How funny! Great job and I really enjoyed it. Keep it up.
July 14, 2010 10:35 AM
I love it!
as a "settler" in my own country i enjoyed this very much! The Arabs who built my home were very kind and professional. the media people are just out to make a buck and trying to rabble rouse-- it's true!
July 14, 2010 7:41 AM
very cute, and sadly very true.
July 14, 2010 12:19 AM
As a Jewish "Settler" in my own Homeland who's rights to build were "frozen" I found this quite amusing. Not the freeze, that's annoying and unfair. A request to Obama, "Please get out of my backyard, you're trespassing!"

Awesome. Script: one sided.
Awesome. Just remember bias goes vs. Jews and vs. Arabs as well.

Sorry to be so cynical, but unfortunately I agree with #6 Sally R (remember what happened with ‘we con the world’ video). I agree with the message... I just worry that if the video gets into the wrong hands (i.e. defensive media outlets) this video can do more damage than good.

Humor is the tool
As I've always maintained. You want to say the truth, then humor/satire is the vehicle to use.
July 12, 2010 9:59 PM
I like that. very funny but to the point very nice.
July 12, 2010 8:05 PM
That's right, it's not even funny. Sad, but not funny.
This sort of pseudo-political pseudo-reality reporting is funny only in the eye of the beholder. It depends on who sees it and how it is translated. Potentially dangerous.

I always weigh the "newscasts" and their commercial facilitators because if it is against "coveted OIL MONEY" there will always be bias. People that don't tune in to Aish.com, Jewish TVNetwork.org or read any of the plethora of books on the subjedt of Judaism don't have a clue. Many if not most religions today have their basis in Judaism's structure and beliefs. They don't even know it. The Golden Rule is in every religion out there, yet Jewish people have taken the hardest hits and for the longest. I never watch "network news" at all and prefer the Daily Show. It is silly but does get to the point that most of the "stuff" out their is real insanity. Where there is no knowledge of Judaism, people should say and do nothing except clean their own spiritual closets if they have them and stop blaming the Jewish people for everything. Certainly the United States is for sale. We must all work together and poke fun when we can but fight when we must. K

We need to stop Western Media Smearing Israel
We Jews and Israelis feel abused by the western Media and their clear Pro-Palestinian bias. Quite simply, you are often watching Palestinian propaganda in the guise of objective reporting. Perhaps the bias is the results of the hate reporters and editors feel towards the government, towards the settlers, and in some cases, to Israel altogether. Perhaps reporters are favorable to the weaker side in the conflict. The bottom line is that the western media is quite removed from reality. Long live Israel! Moshe ben Sossan
