Stars of David: In the Lion's Den

Stars of David: In the Lion's Den

A sole Jewish high school student stands up for Israel against an angry mob of demonstrators.

by

In the midst of an angry mob of thousands of Muslim and far-leftist, anti-Israel demonstrators, a sole, brave, Jewish high-school student shows-up to counter what he perceived as a Muslim blood-libel against the reputation of the Jewish state of Israel.

Outside of the Israeli Consulate to L.A. on Memorial Day - a Jewish high-school student defiantly waved the Israeli flag to stand up for the Israeli Navy's handling of the Flotilla matter in the face of rumors and cover-ups.

The L.A.P.D. had to establish a human wall to intervene to protect "Daniel" (and an ensuing couple of Israel supporters) from the growing mob.

commentary was too short

This video was cut off too soon...the reporter was making a point about the Tanakh and the Hebrew rights to Israel....and the prophecy that Israel would once again become a nation. The young man he was talking to evidently was confused when the word 'Bible' was brought up.

What if his name had been anything but Daniel? Would he still have been in the "Lion's Den"?

Reading these comments, I'm pressed as a Muslim to highlight that the Islamic nation had hundreds of years in which to wipe out the Jewish race - but it didn't. In fact we afforded them protection and allowed the Jewish culture to flourish under the Caliphate's, whilst the Jews fled Christian persecution. In no way did the historical Islamic Caliphate have any desire to committ mass genocide against the Jews. That has always been the sole preserve of some of your Christian brethren. These comments are steeped in ignorance constantly referring to Islam as the common enemy. Honestly, everyone who has commented on this article needs to reflect on what they have written, beginning with myself. We are not the enemy - and David was not in the "Lion's Den" - that analogy has whipped up a frenzied even fanatical response to the video. Like I said - read what your own comments and reflect. A wise man once said, when someone speaks, it says more about them, than what they say about others. Shalom.

What a brave, admirable young man! It took a lot of courage to face that despicable mob, but he did it. Hooray for him!
