Reverence and respect to each other as unique person
If the objective is to create only one service for all that includes all religions or believes, it should be one in which they show that every individual, no matter which culture or believe they have, is a special person, an individual that deserves respect and is unique. The service should show reverence and respect to each other.

Once again this just proves that Hollywood will do anything for ratings and money! (even at the expense of exploiting kids)

THIS video is pathetic, sad, disturbing. These kids really have NO idea how disturbing their behavior is! How a parent/s would allow this without any accountability is beyond myself. Welcome to the world of ME!

One group of people is most certainly not represented on this show. That group is frum (observant) Jews. No frum parents would send their kids to participate in such nonsense. Therefore it is really only a display of what the nations of the world are thinking and has nothing to do with true Torah. If the "service" is then not for Jews, it should be directed as a Bnei Noach (Children of Noah)service. However, as of yet I know of no such thing (maybe scattered groups have something). It would be Torah for the nations, and they would need to exchange their current religions for it. Would they do it?

What TYPE!, of 'service', is NOT! the issue!
It should, FIRST! be ACKNOWLEDGED!, THEN RESOLVED!, ZERO TOLERANCE!, for HATE SPEECH! PERIOD!, or, OFF the 'show'! THEN, & ONLY then, a 'moment of silence', so as NOT!, to embarass, ANYone, ANY AGE, thru FREE choice, to partcipate, or NOT! THAT! is fair, to ALL!

One of the boys suggested to take for the service what all the religions had in common, unfortunately (as usual unheard) nobody agreed. It is important for all to see what we have in common and make us closer instead of the differences who pushes us apart with closed minds

Should have watched it further
I saw this program. I am saddened you didn't show it further. When they were all told to go to a church service(made to by the council)not one kid showed up. Then a young girl went around asking if anyone wanted to meet at the well and share to come. They all came, It was beautiful. The Jewish boy recited the scriptures and everyone shared and their was love there. It was awesome

Military Service
The idea that "we can all pray together under the same religious banner, despite our religious differences" is as childish and as silly as the children that suggested it and the adults behind the show that agree to air the drivel to millions of homes every week.

The kids who have a solid foundation in their religion would never go for it and the kids who really dont know much about their own religion, wouldnt know the difference between one religion and the next, especially if much of the pageantry is kept out of the service.

I have no idea if the kids ever got a service going, nor do I care. I think the kids on the show should all opt for military service, they could all stand to be brought down a rung or two. Their parents should have their heads examined for putting them on such shameful display for the few dollars the shows producers surely promised them.

My concern is how much misinformation kids can spread about religion. When I was a kid (the only Jew in school) I was forced to explain things I did not understand to Evangelist teachers who would tell the class why i was wrong. I did not realize how misinformed I was until college when Chabad got a hold of me. I wish I could go back and correct all the bogus info I had given out. I did the best I could at the time but twice a week after school classes with no consequences did not make the grade.

What we have here is a microcosim of society at large (think Lord of the Flies), with the inherent pitfalls. Kids are capable of tremendous things, including spiritual growth. I feel having an ecumenical service is "fair" on face value, but it's execution is fraught with too many problems (including the examples shown of intolerance) to be practical for this age group.

religion, Judaism, and the 7 Noahide laws
Perhaps religion is what divides us into certain divisions such as Christianity and Islam. Since Judaism is said not to necessarily be a religion, it's sages do not condemn nor kill anyone who doesn't think the way the Jews do. That's why the Torah set a standard for 7 simple laws of the Noahide to follow:
1) Belief in one G-d
2) Praise G-d
3) Do not steal
4) Do not murder
5) Do not commit immoral sexual acts
6) Do not pull the flesh of the living
7) Establish courts and justices

As for children, they learn about what particular religion they are at such an early age, that they take it at face value, regardless of whether or not its the truth, though they firmly believe that they behold the truth and every other belief is false. It's a matter of what makes sense to an individual. We all have a responsibility to act as a shining example toward others, and not condemn or oppress those by getting them to conform to another belief system. All in all, it's better to have faith than to spread it unto others, since they're most likely to object. Many people have gotten persecuted and killed over certain Gospels being spread.
