A small detail about Mordechai
Est 2:7 tells us Hadassah was the daughter of Mordechai's uncle, making her his cousin, not his uncle. Great study brother!

Was drawn to this experience today through a dear friend and her email....simply a verse from Book of Esther. As I read the verse, I quested for reading the Book of Esther... which reminded me of Hamentashen and Purim, Finding this website, opens a recommitment of faith for me. and fresh understanding.

Another not-so-accurate fact
Taanis Esther, the fast of Esther, wasn't a fast the Jews called before battle. It was a fast of repentance, of Teshuva, to help overturn Haman's decree. The Jews fasted before Esther went into the King's palace, not before doing battle.

Actually many people make that mistake. The fast of esther is exactly what he said. Fast before going to war

Just one thing...
One thing was not completely correct. There was prophecy into the second temple period. We may not have had it in Persia since it only worked in Israel. However, the time of prophecy was not over until many years after the Purim Story.
