I totally agree

There is no reason for us to "prove" that the land is ours and has been for over 30 centuries. During that time there has NEVER been a single day that there was not a Jewish presence in Jerusalem. The Arabs, try as they may, can't even find Jerusalem in the Koran; they have no right to so much as a centimeter of the land. The wicked witch of the west (Helen Thomas) said that we should "get the hell out of Palestine." When asked where they should go, she suggested we ought to go back to our homeland: Germany and Poland. What many people don't know is that she is Lebanese. Just where she gets the idea that Germany and Poland is our homeland is an indication that she's got Alzheimer's. According to the books I've read, there has NEVER been a Palestinian government, flag, coinage or anything else that construes a claim to a land. Abraham was promised the land by G-d, so our "deed" to the land goes back to the creator of the world and it is he who has the right to assign property. He has never reneged on his promise to the Jewish people that the land would be theirs forever. Tens of thousands of antiquities that prove our claim to the land are systematically being destroyed by the Arabs--WHY? So they can "prove" that we have no claim. Yes, they can claim what they want to claim, but the land belongs to the Jewish people for eternity.

Stop trying to prove Jewish ties

Nobody challenge the Christians concept, of Jesus resurection, or of Mohamad having risen to heaven on his horse. But everybody challenge jewish ancestry ties to theland of Israel. When are we the Jews going to realize that it's a for of antisemitism beyond reason, and no matter what archeology or documented history prove, the rest of the world will find ways to disprove Jewish origin. Maybe ther is a section missing in the biblical narative. G-d didnot talk to Abraham & his descendent. Perhaps Abraham & co were alients from outer space. We may not be te chosen people. We are the G-d messengers from adifferent planet sent here to reform earth. Sounds like Kubrik, "Space 1999". But it may be easier to justify than Jewish tie ti Israel. Marc

our links to Jerusalem

It's always exciting to watch an archeological excavation in progress and this is surely fascinating. I think there is a timetable to discovery, and that there's a logic that is Divine associated with learning, when we learn, how we assimilate that learning, and what ensues. It doesn't surprise me we are finding these links, as in this sewage system. As sew is also to sew age, maybe we are stitching together, history here, and we are, in finding out more about our past, feeling the gift that is ever "present".

True History Is Proof Enough

The discovery just went to strengthen what I alrready knew and believed Any serious historian who reads history not wearing dark glasses knows how the Jews were ousted out of their own G-d given, hand and sweat made Jerusalem

The tunnel was amazing

We saw this tunnel when in Jerusalem during Oct, 2009 - it was only about 100 yards long with the sand bags still in the aisle but it was very exciting to see the major feat of such hard work.
