An Unrequited "Hero"
I wonder if Samir Kuntar thinks of himself as a Hero. The best years of his life was spent in Israel's prison--30 years. The most productive, energetic years. Physically, he appears very well looked after during his prison term, which ended unexpectedly for him . I wish our solders, Goldwasser and Regev would have been returned to us looking nearly as well. Kuntar could never have been expected to be released. He must feel that he wasted his life, making an irrevocable decision. Despite his country's accolades they cannot return to him the many years lost. I imagine there is a lot of pent up resentment and frustration that he dares not express. What will be the next turn of events for him? He has declared that he will continue the fight against the enemy, the State of Israel. The irony of this is too difficult to contemplate. May G-d protect us at all times.

heartbreak
I find it hard to understand how this man could ever be set free, having heard of what he has done and the terrible anguish, the terrible loss of life to innocents, total innocents. He is no hero. The word hero should not be reserved for such egregious acts of terror, of bloodshed in the name of anything.
I am wondering how anybody gets to hate this badly, that they will crush a child, in this way? I am wondering how the world got this bad, that people, children, are taught something about hate that justifies somehow these acts in their minds and that they could possibly, ever celebrate the life of someone who does these things?
No. There is nothing I can imagine and yet, this is happening, everywhere, in other contexts and countries, in our midst. So I am saying there is something so wrong, so terribly wrong and that the world needs a morality of ethics, of what's important, and life, the lives of all of us here, well, that's for me something that must be taught and over taught because these acts are being generated from deep inside a ferment that is hate. -

Another Hypocrite
Kuntar is a hypocrite like his brethren. Whilst in an Israeli prison he studied for a PHD with the Open University, he seems well fed so Israeli food must have been good yet he comes out telling those murderer lovers what they want to hear. That he hates Jews! However is that really true? Deep in his heart he knows he was treated humanly even though his brethren torture and humiliate their prisoners. He will always be haunted by the kindness showed to him. Also he knows how much respect is given to every soul in contrast to how his own brethren view their own.

Barbarians
These people are barbarians and butchers. They should have been executed years ago. Olmert and the other liberal traitors should take their places in prison...

No humanity
There is not one ounce of humanity in that man's eyes. He is an evil monster, always was, always will be. I pray god will exact an appropriate punishment on him.

Lack of Justice
Is justice satisfied when this people are jailed and then released after years? Can we see the girl and the people he killed, she would be a lady with a family today, and the others would still be around. Where are they, thanks to him? History teaches us, and the Bible too, that justice is satisfied when we do "eye for eye", "tooth for tooth." Yet in the name of mercy, or in fear of what others "will say,"we let these criminals go. Then they give us the only thing they have, hatred and more murder...Are we getting what we deserve for our weakness? Let's think about it.

Name one nation, one people on earth who behave like this? Releasing terrorist/murderers rewarding and enabling repitition against your own people!
Some comments voice surprise at behaviors of a culture, a society, a cult religion whose practices in eradicating those of religions and people other than their own is part of a brainwashing process begun in the cradle!
The focus must be on our behavior as Jews, as a State established to prevent Jews from ever being at the mercy of enemies - and the question must be whether this is being accomplished when politicians release such enemies thereby giving killers license to kill again!
Does any nation, any people on earth behave like these politicians? Have such a people ever existed? Surely, not the Israel of the Bible! Politicians must be made to study the Torah before taking office and wear and carry the Torah around them wherever they go and whenever they make policy decisions in regards to the Jewish people.
Because of disconnection from our source - HaShem and Torah - behaviors of such illogic ensue. -

assuming accountability in the matter
We mock the Arabs for celebrating Kuntar, when in fact we enabled them by not having executed him in the first place, and then delivering him to what we knew would be a hero's welcome. We, too, have to be kept accountable for our actions.

Kid Killer !
How can a kid killer be a hero? Maybe someone should "do" him in. I am not an Israeli but what he did to that 4 year old girl needs a "response".

No Hero
This man is not a hero. The minds of those that admire him are sick and twisted by hate. They have become less than human. How sad. As dangerous animals are taken out, so should this man. Then, he and his admirers won't be able to cause any more harm. The children must be reached if they are to learn a different way and join the human family. Just one woman's opinion.

To free that kind of a monster is downright evil. Israel should only release his dead body.

Evil's Hero
He's a hero, yes, to the extremely evil inclined humans, if they deserved to be called humans. Such barbaric act is unforgivable in a civilized world. Obviously, Kuntar and his people aren't.

life and death
What I've learned about the difference between Israel and the Arab world, is that Israel favors life, and the Arab world favors and condones death and murder. For such a religion as Islam to seemingly encourage death and murder to their enemies more than just obliterate them would be a false prophecy, because in the Jewish bible, Deut. 13 says otherwise about such philosophical threats and spiritual extortion.
Of course, during Rosh Hashonah services when the line is chanted "...avinu malkeinu - destroy every oppressor and adversary" that is not necessarily implied to put the enemy to death, but moreover oust and obliterate him.
Very blood-boiling for bad people to go free and for good people to suffer! -

Islamic vitriol
The anonymous person who said that "he is a hero yes" (sic) has the perfect mentality of Islamic insanity and why people of all other religions need to be on their guard against the Islamic/Palestinian goal to destroy the world.

The State of Israel and all civilised world should be ashamed for accepting to release an internationally acclaimed Lebanese terrorist and hundreds of others like him for the bodies of two dead Israeli soldiers. Will that kind of hollow prisoner swap deal not enbolden terrorists to endeavour to inflict more harm to the civilised world? I beg to receive an answer to this question.

proof of israel's cultural atrophy
Can anyone explain why the same government that released this monster also produced this video? Is this a joke? We are winessing the unraveling of Israel before our very eyes.

Don't play fair!
Okay, so whats the problem? Recapture all the killers. They either turn themselves in or die. Blackmailers get no free pass. Now Israel must repay them in kind. Since they don't value life, give them death...find them and kill them. Thats how this game is played.
