Moral Distinction
That was a an amazing speech; two lines really struck me. When describing Israel and its' neighbors the Senator said: "But we cannot erase the moral distinctions between tyranny and freedom and we must not edit history" and when describing Israel's role in the world: "it is..an island of refuge that can stand firm no matter how stormy the sea of history" Thank you Senator for showing true moral distinction.

Please, G-d, open the ears of Barack Obama to hear this message!
Please, G-d, open the ears of Barack Obama to hear this message! There are hardly any places where the actual history of Israel and the Jewish people is being spoken but this is one of them. Obama, along with all of the news reporters, are only listening to the revisionist versions being spewed out by the "Palestinians" and other Arab nations and anti-Semites. The United States is NOT a Muslim nation, by any stretch of the imagination, nor have the Arab nations made any significant level of contributions to the world of science and medicine, despite Obama's declarations in Cairo. Let the truth be heard and be heard clearly!! Let the truth be the message that gets press and not the lies that are continually being generated by the Arab media machine.

A Terrific Speech
This Republican says Kol ha-Kavod to this good man! A wonder statement of support which distances him from Carter, Hillary and Obama. More of this needs to be encouraged from other Democrat senators and congressmen. Call his office and thank him for this speech and call your senators and ask why they haven't done the same.

Thank you for your welcome statement, Sen. Menendez
As an American born Jew who has just returned to the USA after livng in Israel for 36 satisfying, exciting, wonderful years, I welcome your comments with all my heart, Mr. Menendez. My age and circumstances forced me to return reluctantly -- but your comments help make proud of our representatives in the USA political world. Thank you.

May G-d Bless you, Mr. Menendez, for speaking the truth
Thank you, Mr. Menendez, for this speech that you recently gave in the Senate chambers. I hope that you see these comments that are written about this video and I especially hope that Mr. Obama heard your speech. A few comments, if I may...there were actually over a million Jews who were displaced from Arab countries in 1948, including Iran and also there were Jewish families who lived in some of their Arab countries for well over 1000 years, some even close to 2000 years, predating the advent of Islam. Aside from these couple of clarifications, RIGHT ON!!! to all that you said. In Hebrew we say, Yasher Koach...may you go from strength to strength. Oh, and I'm a citizen of your state, by the way.

Bravo Senator Mendez
Stirring, mind provoking, factual, undeniably a true picture of Israel's struggle against all odds to continue fighting for it's inalienable right to to exist & its desire to live in peace even with those who would wish her demise ! G-D's Chosen have suffered untold & unspeakable calamities but continue to survive & lead the world in their myriad of contributions for the benefit of all of society. With G-D's Everlasting Covenant the people of The Torah will overcome & all adversities & never be subdued.

WOW!
WOW! What a speach! Is there anyone else in the great House, the Congress, with similar thoughts? Israel, and the Jewish people as a whole, need friends like Sen. Menendez. Especially now, that new ramblings are coming out of Iran a-new. I, for one, salute you, Sir! Well done, Sir. May God bless you, Sir.

(31) Lawrence S. Ross,MD, July 3, 2009 9:10 PM
superb review of the facts
Unfortunately, the obsessive desire by Arabs [including the millions of Moslems who have immigrated to Europe and spread venom in all of those countries] to exterminate Israel has been gaining momentum. Those who are "neutral" are more concerned about their fuel than the survival of Jews and Israel. Sen. Menendez' speech is like a tiny flashlight illuminating a desert. The festering hatred is not extinguished by reason or negotiation---as Hitler and his Nazi followers so well illustrated less than 70 years ago!
