Israel. a beautiful land. I first went towards the end of may 1967 for a months holiday touring around the country. I finished up on kibbutz Menara by the Lebanon border. about 5 in the morning they woke us up to get in the trench as the SIX DAY WAR had started. NO flights in or out. NO shipping in or out. finished up staying on the kibbutz for 2 months. made a lot of friends .and wonderful memories .so much so that I went back the following year. really is gods country. am 72 now but feels as it was yesterday.
