seeing that those arabs can't face or answer the truth, I'd like to know: how many death threats has he recived?

Israel should offer him citizenship
In any other country when you do national service (2 to 3 years) for them, you are automatically offered citizenship. Singapore offers that to its PRs (permanent residents who serve NS). For protecting Israelis (and other nationalities as well) Mosab deserves that and more. Mosab does not owe Israel anything, but Israel and its citizens owe Mosab BIG time. Do they thank him (other than just that little note of thanks they sent him) publicly, openly, give him a badge of honour? Will they only honour him after he's killed by some insane maddened Palestinian/Muslim? So Israel , please keep him safe, its your job, its your duty for your son who is Mosab, not just that Israeli soldier for whom you exchange a thousand Palestinian hard-core prisoners, one of whom (a female) went on to help massacre some little children and laughed about it in an interview.

Did anyone actually read this book?
I can say that this guy is not very much in favor of Israel at all. He talks about how soldiers come and indiscriminately shoot and arrest people and basically torture and oppress them for no reason. He doesn't mention that his father was arrested countless times while he was in his home because he was planning and organizing attacks and not out of the blue. He also talks about how the Palestinians need their state but forgets to mention that they were offered land on many occasions and thought that they wouldn't need it because they would just destroy the state of Israel. He just scratches on the surface when he mentions the war that began the day Israel was declared a state and was attacked from all sides. According to him the Israelis outnumbered and outgunned the attackers but in reality it was organized armies against an unprepared group of people, many of whom were holocaust survivors. The conditions in Gaza and the West Bank are a direct result of relentless attacks on Israel and are fairly recent. They were not attacking Israel simply to destroy and not liberate oppressed Palestinians. He basically skims over many of the facts.
This book shows his deep disdain towards Israel and I wouldn't go as far as to call him a supporter of the state in any sense of the word. He refers to them as occupiers and recounts the alleged brutality in great detail but skims over the attacks coming from the Palestinian side.
I think it was very irresponsible to put this book on this site without reading it and looking into the text a little bit further. Yes he worked for Shin Bet, helped thwart some attacks and saved lives, Jewish and Palestinian, however, his motives and loyalty are very much in question. Listen to his speeches in Arabic and they resemble nothing of what he says in English when he is out publicizing his book.

Master of doublespeak
From the video clips I've seen him in Arabic (the links are posted in previous comments on this page), he doesn't seem to express the same love of Israel as when he addresses his audience in English. He refers to Israel as the "enemy" and in two clips is dressed in the garb of the PLO. It's like he's suffering bipolar disorder - he seems confused, if not a double agent.

The Lord Bless
Miracle before our eyes the Almighty is working through this brave man 'Mosab Hassan Yousef ' , may a prayer of protection be with you always. Yes a very small country and there is evil against her but yet she prevails. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Commanded the LORD.

Truly Remarkable and Brave
This man is not only brave but honest as well. His journey is a remarkable one, especially so when he hits upon the truth and says that Israel in not the problem but the Solution for the Middle East. This man needs our daily prayer for his safety and I really wish people will read his book without prejudice, so that they can think and realize the real truth behind the persecution of a tiny state called Israel. May GOD protect this man and Israel

This Guy Deserves To Be Knighted By The World
This Guy is beyond anyone who ever lived in the arab world, he is a true human being, he should become the mediator for the palestinians to re-build once these terrorist organisations can be dismantled. A great guy, truly we should protect him royaly, as with in his speech protects us in the highest and truthful possible order as his staements not only suggest but are truly correct.

I SALUTE HIS COURAGE
The most poignant thing he said was "Hamas was born to destroy, they don't know how to build". This is the meat of the matter. When you see the terrible living conditions, you have to feel sorry for the people that Hamas dominates. If only they would turn their efforts to good and to governing instead of all their efforts being directed towards devastation and death. I'm sorry for the people of Gaza, but it is up to them to affect change if they are not happy with Hamas. Unfortunately I believe that they are born and bred to think that killing and death are normal and acceptable. I don't think any change is going to come for them, and that's just sad.

The Gazans and Egytians chose to elect radical Islamists!
Andrea, I'd be sorry for the people if they hadn't chosen their government. They knew very well what the Hamas' agenda is and they chose it i.e. they chose to wipe Israel off the map. Perhaps they were misled into thinking that along with destroying Israel, their goverment would bring prosperity to the local population. But you don't see this in ANY Arab regime. The focus is on either hatred (the radicals) or personal power and wealth (the secular rulers). It is never on the people. These days, in every country where there is Arab unrest, the radicals are the victors. This means that rather than focusing on how they can improve their own conditions, the population seems to be buying the Hate Line: Hate the West, Hate the USA, Hate Israel. I wish I were wrong and I'd love to see Arabs writing back in protest: No! We want to live in peace with the world - live and let live. We care more about the love of our families and country that hatred towards others. We won't blame those others for our lack of prosperity. We are willing to work hard and build our own prosperity.

It can't happen while there is no religious honesty
Let's face it, religion is a big part of life in the Arab world. Why? because we created this thing called "Islam" as an insurance policy against the rising power of the church at the time. In order to succeed in it's early years it had to be driven by fervor and passion beyond what can be described as rational. The "hatred" stems from the self-pride of a people who believe they should be the chosen ones (because they believe in their God and their prophet without question), and a world that has clearly rejected them in that light (seems that anyone who wishes to be regarded as "special" is quickly brought back to Earth regardless the merit of the claim). Now the world has changed, many times over, but these people are still programmed to think that there is only one way to fix the world, that there is only one truth, and that it happens to be their version. These people's ancestors saved us all from religious tyranny on a global scale, and we owe it to the world to try to save them from the virus that has been implanted in them. No border will ever be 100% secure, and no superpower can stop the suicide bomber, so when we start looking at them as fellow human beings who have fallen ill, we'll begin to think of solutions to untangle this mess we started a long time ago in self-defense, but it isn't self-defense anymore. Now it's a question of wisdom and compassion. Anyway, this Arab Spring and Zuckerberg's Facebook has got them talking and thinking like never before. It'll take some time, but don't give up on your neighbours, it simply isn't wise to do so.
December 12, 2011 8:45 PM
You are 100% correct.
Hamas controls education; Toddlers are taught to hate Jews and infidel. Youngsters are taught to glorify suicide murderers and aspire to be Shadids (martyr). This is the greatest child abuse, yes the media turns a blind eye.

December 8, 2011 12:30 PM
This guy did not convert to Judaism, as has been suggested in a previous post. He is courageous and I don't doubt his sincerity. Hamas will catch up with him sooner or later and his family will lead the hunt in order to restore "Honour". I would have liked him to say what he said in Arabic and broadcast it to the Arab world.
If he is able to think the way he does, then there must be others among the billion Muslim and Christian Arabs who think the same way. Meanwhile there are still a few things in Israel's House that need putting in order... the corruption of some of its leaders for one.

We Must Protect Mosab Hassan Yousef
It takes courage for an individual to come out of all that he or she have been conditioned to be. For this Arab man to speak the way he has done about Israel deserves our appreciation. It’s a huge sacrifice for someone to turn their back on their people. I know that ‘honour’ is held in high regard by Arabs. This man has ‘dishonoured’ his people and in their eyes deserves death. We must protect him.
I appreciate his love for both the Israeli Jewish people and the Arabs (Palestinians Arabs & Israelis Arabs). He is right in his observation that Hamas was made to destroy and not build. He is right in his observation that Muslims are bent on revenge. He is also right to say that this is not radical Islam. Many in the West think that organization such as Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah are made up of radicals. It’s not true. It’s actually a combination of a handful of radicals and a majority of people who actually consider themselves moderate. People in the East who live amongst Muslims know this but many Westerners do not see it. This is because both a moderate and radical holds the same views held in the Quran and Hadith (Hadis). The other Muslims (a small minority) who are not among the moderate and radical who say that peace must be forged with the state of Israel are actually not acting in accordance to Islam and in a way it’s logical in the Muslim mindset to label these people as apostates (murtad). Remember the penalty for murtad is death.
I pray more Muslims will have the courage to wake up and see the evils that are done in the name of religion. Some people will say that the current unrest in various Arab countries is a step in the right direction but I’m pessimistic about it. This is because at the end of the unrest the Muslim centric political parties are getting the majority support. This is bad news to non-Muslim Arabs and minority non-Arab ethnics in the Middle East, North Africa and East/South/Southeast Asia.

He deserves watching
Remember Bilaam. Still waters run deep. He comes at the right time. He really is the other side of the coin. I would love to watch more of him.
December 7, 2011 7:11 AM
Despite this man's detractors, I have searched long and hard and prayed about it, and I believe this man is the real thing. As far as whether someone wrote the speech for him, someone probably did. Most professional public speakers do not write their own speeches. This includes actors, authors and politicians, so why not him? It isn't that odd really. He deserves our prayers and support. READ the book before you judge.

just for fame
i am often bothered when i see people who couldnt make it as a performer/singer/comedian and when they become jewish they become famous. i am not saying that none of them have any sincere honest reasons to convert other than fame, but i am glad to see this guy's siding with israel benefits us even if part of his motives may have partially been for fame.
December 6, 2011 9:26 PM
No need for your judgement
I find your remarks offensive. I see no benefit to your negative judgement of this brave man for literally risking his life and severing his ties with his family to stand up for the truth. It's nice to see you give him some credit but your negativity is anti-Jewish.
December 8, 2011 3:26 AM
he didnt convert... did you hear anything he said? your comment makes no sense. fame.. huh?

this man is a wonderful amazing person
this man is a wonderful amazing person
December 5, 2011 6:55 PM
There are detractors who insist that this person is not truly supporting the cause of peace that includes the existence of Israel. There are video clips that seem to indicate this fellow is something of a counteragent regarding Israel and the Christian churches.
December 6, 2011 9:28 PM
Please give proof to what you are insinuating.
December 5, 2011 6:50 PM
He deserves our prayers
Mosab's book was riveting, and his courage is exemplary. I shudder to think of the PLO taking custody of his notes, and pray it will not happen. He cares more about the truth than most people who claim to, and I pray for his safety and prosperity as he lives his life in exile.
December 5, 2011 2:44 PM
Something does not seem right here....
In his speech to the German -Jewish group Mosab sounded too eager. He said tings that sounded too good to be true...It was as if Shin Bet wrote this speech for him..why would he say he loves Israel? Becuase it is a bastion of freedom, truth, and democracy in a pit of religious zealotry and barbarian thinking? It just doesn't make sense to me...
December 5, 2011 7:59 AM
Yes,an amazing story of a transformed life and perspective.
I have read Mosab's book, Son of Hamas, having been to Israel five times since 1972, and I think it is one of the most amazing true life stories I have ever read. I highly recommend it be read.

Thank you for spreading the truth! May G-d bless you and keep you safe, and may all people come to understand the truth of your words.

May G-d watch over you
I would like this address to be sent to the White
House for Mr. Obama to hear. This presentation
should be seen on Facebook.
I would like him to address campuses where students
have been tainted against Israel. We need more
Muslims to become educated to see the truth.

Son of Hammas is a Fooling Christians & Jews
This man is a liar. What he tells the western world is not what he says in Arabic. He should be watched carefully. He may hurt free men and women! Be careful.
December 5, 2011 2:23 AM
The unthinkable truth!
Why is this not broadcast all over the world??? ,, it took great courage to come forward and speak the truth that many people ignore to acknowledge
December 4, 2011 11:57 PM
What he says can be read in 2 ways
I heard him saying that he was in fact a double agent. He was speaking in a way that the whole world would hear of Palestine behind his speech. You can't know what kind of person he is, behind the mask.
December 4, 2011 10:11 PM
thank you for your courage
In a time when heroes are few you bring light and hope to millions of people. Thank you Mosab.
December 4, 2011 8:24 PM
the entire world should hear his words...............
December 4, 2011 7:40 PM
May G-d Bless you & protect you and help you to spread the TRUTH.
Your connection to G-d has given you the ability to go beyond what most other people in this world have the courage to do, may you continue to share your story and clarity on reality in the middle east; it goes beyond the west bank. As you can see all of the Arab states are in a state of ongoing chaos and need a Real leader like you to save the people who have no voice and are killed for having one. May you continue to grow in your personal improvement and read the bible part 1 and continue to see and spread the truth in this world.

Mosab Hassan Yousef
He is very articulate and eloquent. Where was he educated? How is he surviving now? He has blown his cover.
December 4, 2011 4:15 PM
Mosab is being forced to turn his notes to PLO
Last night "Haaretz" reported that Mosab was ordered by a Federal judge to turn his notes over to PLO. I shudder at the possibility of this happening. Many ore innocents will be murdered (especially after reading Mosab's book).
December 4, 2011 6:09 AM
Would his presence in public jeopardize his safety?
December 4, 2011 8:54 PM
I doubt it! I'm sure the Mossad protects him very well. He does say that he is unafraid to say that he loves Israel. We need more people like him on our side!!
