We write these words with great sadness and disbelief -- our beloved Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Yisrael Noach ben Yitzchak Mattisyahu Weinberg – passed away this morning, Feb 5/ Shevat 11.
The funeral will be today at 1:30 pm, at the Ahavas Torah Shul in Kiryat Zanz, Jerusalem, and will proceed from there to Har Menuchos.
Words at this time feel wholly inadequate to describe the greatness of Rabbi Weinberg, of blessed memory. The shock is too great and the pain too fresh, but the situation demands a few words, and over the next week a more fitting tribute will be created.
Rabbi Weinberg was a Jewish leader and visionary par excellence. Every fiber of his being was animated by the reality of the Almighty and the truth of Torah. He lived with the awareness of God -- His infinite love and awesomeness -- and the power of Torah to instruct us on how to live a most meaningful life.
Rabbi Weinberg passionately believed in the greatness of every human being, because God Himself testified to the inherent greatness in every human being.
Rabbi Weinberg exuded love and concern for every Jew, and was a beloved father to thousands.
Rabbi Weinberg dedicated his life to bringing a renaissance within Jewish people, to reach out to every Jew and reconnect him to the depth and meaning of our heritage. The Jewish people are meant to be a light unto nations; Rabbi Weinberg undertook the task to galvanize the Jewish people and inspire us to live up to our mission and be Kiddush Hashem – to sanctify God's Name in this world.
"The hidden things are for Hashem, our God, but the revealed things are for us and our children forever, to carry out all the words of this Torah" (Deut. 29:28). Rabbi Weinberg lived with the reality that the all the revealed things are our responsibility. If masses of Jews are assimilating, it's our responsibility to bring each and every one back. If there is a threat to the Jewish Nation or to the Western world, it cannot be ignored. We must meet the challenges facing us head on and do whatever we can to remedy the situation.
Rabbi Weinberg was fighting the battles of the Jewish people until his last day. Today we are orphans.

Thank you Rabbi Weinberg
I am a Catholic. I had been trying to understand for a few months now why some of my prayers had gone unanswered. I came across Rabibi Weinberg's article "How To Get Your Prayers Answered". I read it and was floored. I could relate to EVERYTHING he wrote about in his article. I was so excited that when my husband came home from work I read it to him. I then did a little research as to the difference of judaism and christianity. We're actually quite similar in religion. But at the end of the day it boils down to this - I pray that God guides me and my family to live our lives in such a way that we will join him in heaven. Rabbi Weinberg has changed the way I pray; I'm so grateful to this meeting of happenstance.

My heart grieves for Israel
A great man has passed on to eternity. May all of Israel be comforted and blessed by his teachings. May Israel prosper and remain faithful to the oracles of the L-RD. Blessings, love, stregnth, comfort, and victory to all Jews the world over, and hundred-fold so in Israel.

A True Blessing From G-d
(from Canada) I started praying for Rabbi Weinberg from the moment that I heard that he was ill. He was truly a man of Hashem, I too, have never thanked G-d enough or this dear precious Rabbi enough for all of the wonderful teachings that he imparted to the Jewish people all over the world. Being bedridden for just over a year now, disabled now, (I have a broken back and have not been able to use my computer for over 9 months, and unable to walk, I kept praying that he would recover and I would also thank Hashem for all over the spiritual teaching that He imparted, through the blessed and love that this exceptional Rabbi taught of the Holy things that we need to know, not just for the" "todays" of our lives, but also for all of our "tomorrows" as well. I would see all of the words of wisdom and knowledge that G-d gave him to write, and I never, ever came away from not learning about the Almighty and important things that he, (the Rabbi), would tell us about. I honestly couldn't even count up all of the important things that this man who truly loved G-d with every fibre of his being, wrote and explained to all of us, especially to me, a Jewish woman, who after my birth, my family made the huge mistake of not raising me in the Jewish faith. I would print off all of the articles that he would write, and lay in bed reading and re-read them time after time. I HAVE BEEN SO BLESSED! I then put all of this precious information in a big binder so that on my "good days", that I can study again and again about what he wanted us to know. These words that he printed were certainly from G-d directly. I am saddened for his family and for all the brothers and sisters of the Aish HaTorah family as well. Any body who has ever said that they don't think that Hashem doesn't exist has spiritual blinders on. I praise G-d for all of the knowledge that He had imparted to this Rabbi, and also for his love and dedication to printing the Word of God, so that someone even as ignorant as I was years ago, about the Torah, was able to be blessed by. The G-d we serve truly loves his people infinitely. Thank You G-d for all of the people that You blessed using this one man's life. You truly are an awesome G-d indeed! and has never really searched for the existence of God. God certainly gave the world a huge miracle for the life and the dedication of Rabbi Weinberg. Thank you G-d for all of the blessings that I received from our dear worldwide Rabbi, as each day continues to pass, we will constantly be blessed by not just God's love for His people, but by the Rabbi's love and dedication to Him. Also, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Weinberg family fro sharing this great and mighty man of G-d with all of the rest of us all over the world, not just now but for the future as well. Hashem's words will not ever pass away.
