We should occupty our weekdays by sturdying the weekly Torah. The word of God is the light through our footsteps and the paths we tread upon. Shabbat is a delight which radiates light into our lives and families. Shalom.

I am Shomer Shabbos, and I am MORE than willing to concede that there is a special something to the Toa concept of Shabbat. In fact, I would have written: "Stop. Listen. Live."BUTIt is certainly not fair to portray Shabbos as a "magic wand" answer to the 'rat race' of western culture 'business ethic.'It might have been better to make a slightly longer video showing how the frantic pace of the week is contrasted, offset, and brought into focus and perspective by having a "Shabbos-centered" week, instead of a business centered one.Even if this particular "vid" was aimed at an "introductory level audience," a hyperlink to some further followup might have been suggested. For example, "Stop...enjoy.Want to learn how? Click Here!"Just my 20,000 microDollars.

What We Work For
A great point. Shabbat is a microcosm of the World to Come. That world is ALL about what we make of ourselves in this world. If our weekday is focused on expressing the will of G-d, our Shabbat will radiate His light. Our homes and hearts will be filled with it. If, however, our lives are inwardly focused - what will the world give me, how much can I make, acquire, etc. - then Shabbat will be an endless burden and the cries of "when is Shabbat over" will be heard throughout the day.
