Are we to trust in Hashem or in His creation?
Thank you for a very beautiful, heart-felt understanding of Shabbos rest as our profession of trust and faith. I understand to trust and have faith in Hashem. But I struggle with the idea, if I understand correctly, of trust and faith in the natural system, which He created. Hashem created no self-correcting system (no enlightenment/ clockmaker-and-clock -type arrangement). The creation is not equal to or independent of the Creator; it (including we) would crumble soon without His constant and loving oversight. During the week He grows us by giving us the wheel, to some extent, while on Shabbos He allows us the peace to know that it is He who is truly at the wheel all along.
