Daily Lift #873

Encourage Others Strengths

Encourage people by helping them focus on their strengths. Most of us have strengths we don't always use. By using them, our entire life will be lived on a higher plane.

(For a series of probing questions on this topic, see Rabbi Pliskin's "Gateway to Self Knowledge," p.218)

There is too much negativity in society. The put down, the slur, the jealousy, the fear that others will go ahead of oneself in study, work and carrer so no help should be forthcoming or they should be distracted are all to often apparent in the daily lives. To do a good turn is encouraging and that person may go onto better things that would go on to help make for a better system, procedures, efficiency etc. To not help would make for inefficiency.
