Hi Lori,
If I had your address, I might send you flowers, too! I gossip less because of you. Keep doing what you do!

the worst turning out to be the best thing to happen
With divine providence, even the worst moments in life can turn out to be for the best. I feel grateful how resilient and resourceful I am when I make it through daily challenges and struggles. A couple of years ago, I got attacked and stung by a swarm of yellow jacket bees as I was mowing my lawn. I had enough energy to go across the street to my neighbors house in order to get help, and when I was in the ER, they took me right away (even though my airway didn''t close up from the swelling). Another thing I am usually thankful for more often is when I drive where I am thankful for all the times I didn''t get into an accident on the road *or* pulled over by a police cruiser (even when such things happen, I do follow thru in paying for my mistakes). I also feel thankful while driving when the roads are icy, and I am able to stay on the road without slipping off *or* having another vehicle hit me...As for this Chanukah, I feel I don''t really need any (tangible) presents, because I feel I have just about everything I need under one roof, so I don''t need to be so materialistic at all the gifts that are advertised during the holiday season. This is most likely a result of growing older and wiser coming into my late 20''s going on 30.

Lessons from after the fall
My name is also Mark, and last year, I too fell off a high place. I was on my balcony, and leaned over, when the railing gave way and I fell to the ground. It was never properly attached! I fell on the iron railing and got a deep gash on my left leg. Baruch Hashem, thank G-d, nothing was broken, and within a week, I was walking again without pain. I believe Hashem was trying to teach me a few invaluable lessons which I'd like to share with the viewers. 1) I learnt to put up better protective railings around myself, both physically and spiritually, and 2) I (and all the Jewish people for that matter) have no one to "lean on" except our Father in heaven! Thank you, Hashem, for that lesson.

Flowers
I sure could use some flowers today! I'm glad Lori received some to brighten her day. It doesn't take much to turn a bad day into a good one, and flowers certainly brighten up the room and the spirits.

Thats a nice story, very inspiring ! Thanks for sharing your moments... G-od is everywhere giving us signs, but at most of them we dont pay enough attention.. until the message comes in a more loudly way...

marksmanship
This is sweet. The flowers came at the right time, so that, too, seems "divine". There are hard parts to contemplate, and that is, some do fall, and they don't make it. I have to believe that the learning curve goes both ways, for those left behind, too, in this case. I also must believe that LOVE powers everything, so there's another side, on the other side, which explains that movement towards the light that so many, who haven't gone quite the whole distance, do come back to describe. With thanks, luminous Lori!
