Would you send your husband or son to the front lines to fight for the Jewish People?

by Mrs. Lori Palatnik
In honour of L, who has helped me realize
every beautiful emotion imaginable
and for reminding me that being true to myself
will always get me everything I want in life,
however long it takes.

oh that's a tough one but...

at first I would jump up and volunteer myself... but yes, I would not discourage nor stop my kids from going if they made the choice - I know I'm not in control I bet I would pray harder, deeper, longer, wetter, more seriously yet

my son's, son-in-law and nephew have served

we live here, we do give our men to defend the Jewish people here in Israel. people forget, we can't afford to forget, innocent people in Israel give their lives all the time, civilians in terror attacks, missile being shot at and maiming and killing them. if those women lived here and were loosing their children to missiles and other forms of terror, they would feel otherwise. they feel safe, yet how safe are they really? as Jews we need to protect ourselves, and with HaSh-m's help we do and will.

i volenteer #2

shalom,// peace, a strange word sometimes. peace in our hearts and minds, peace in our families and with friends, hopefully soon with our enemy's. lets not forget that no matter what happens Hashem is in control and for reasons beyond our understanding is allowing Israel to constantly be at war with someone, until the messiah comes. i wonder what the world and Israel would be like if islam didnt exist. hopefully there would be more Noahides like me,and a clearer understanding of spiritual things,[knowing of G/d].. but thats not the way it is. and its not for us to know why,not in my lifetime anyway. //we pray for peace in Israel and for the IDF, i know G/d hears our smallist prayers, maybe its time to beg Him to end this . be safe and blessed, neal

i would have gone

lori - you have touched my life in ways you will likely never really get to.... however, when this tid bit opened with your question... in the 72 war... i wanted to go, i wanted to high school sweetheart to go to israel, instead of viet nam (actually, he did not end up going anywhere) and since that time i have wanted to make aliyah. for this reason and that, it was put on hold, and again, and again, and now i am single again, and saving my money to make aliyah. i am now planning my 3rd trip, in 2.5 years, and i miss israel so much i can smell the night air. YES, I WOULD FIGHT (if they thought i was in condition to do that) or answer phones, or roll bandages. Oh, how blessing it would be if someone else pd my rent, and i went right away. you are a true inspiration, thank you for touching my world, again, and again, and again, and..............
