Family and Friends?
Dear Lori, where is it said that Family Members are the best People to rely on? And what about Friends: only those one has grown up with might be considered reliable People, and the not the People one has recently known? I think that in many Cases Family Members are Family Members, not [good or best] Friends, while one might evolve so much as to be able and know good People, to share his/her Life with, in a [more] mutually responsible and enlightened Way [than it was when sharing his/her own Life with Friends known during his/her Childhood]. Though, it is DIFFICULT to find good Family Members, and good Friends [Fellows human Beings], to share one's Life with. And: having a loveful and lightful Family is a Bliss; same to be said about loveful and lightful Friends [Fellows human Beings]. Deeply honestly speaking. Wishing inner and outer Happiness to Everyone.

I am very sorry to say that just because a family member lives close by, it does not necessarily mean you can lean on him/her. My sibling lives in a town about 15 minutes north of me, and I have not spoken with him for over two years. We had an argument and I did my best to extend the olive branch, but so far have been unsuccessful.
