What I learned from this genuine Jewish hero.

by Mrs. Lori Palatnik
In honour of L, who has helped me realize
every beautiful emotion imaginable
and for reminding me that being true to myself
will always get me everything I want in life,
however long it takes.

What an incredible woman!

I'm curious what kept her going. I wish she would write a book!

Love

Avital Shavansky spotlight changed. Her spotlight being in her family. In the driving seat of blessings to her husband and family. No backseat, Avital Shavansky being front seat with the people that matter the most, her loved ones. Her rising in public view for a short time, served a purpose for her husband and others. Her husband being the motivator factor to rise up and be seen and heard by the world. Whether love takes us to a few or for many, it's love that rises us up. When the mission is over for many, love is still there. Love never quits.

IT WAS A GREAT HONOR MEETING AVITAL SCHARANSKIY MANY YEARS AGO

I came as a 11-year old child from Kiev in 1977. Few years later Mrs. Scharansky was in Denver and I had an honor to speak in front of her and a large audience of people, talking about the anti-semitism in the USSR from a child's perspective. I still have a photograph from that event. I remember Mrs. Scharansky and her speech and how she devotedly talked about her husband and the fight to get him out of the Soviet jail. All I can say is that she is a courageous woman and I am honored to have met her so many years ago.
