We all have challenges

Thank you for your videos! I find them always inspiring and relevant. They've reminded me the best way to pray to G-d, they've reminded me this time, that we must embrace our lives and our challenges and deal with them in a positive manner. I was happy to hear that you read all the comments too.

Thank you for sharing

Everything you said is true and we have to keep reminding ourseves over and over again that everything Hashem does is for our good and it's from Him.

My 2 cents...

I've been watching you since the beginning and I never comment. However, this video made me comment... I like you. Keep it up! Good stuff!

I loved the point, the wit and the brevity.

I loved the video, "We All Have Challenges," particularly the inclusion of the friend who, upon learning that she had some challenges, honestly expressed her pleasure in not being alone with tsuris.
Thank you.

Thank you!

I am going through a horrible challenge right now, and I have been moving forward in the best possible way for me and my children, but now I will also start focusing on what I can learn and how I can grow as a result of this challenge and become a better and stronger woman, mother, role model, and Jew going forward. And I do see all the ways I have been blessed. THANK YOU!!

We all have challenges

There are individuals who, rather than work on their own challenges, will not invest the time, energy, insight it takes to be honest with oneself; they rather blame others or envy others as a way of laying aside their ownership and responsibility to grow.

I agree

A couple of months ago, while I was walking to work, I met a friend. I was ruminating all the problems I had at that moment. "How are you doing?" she says and I was to start, "Oh, I am having this problema and that" and she looked at my face and interrupted, "Your life is all right and you should thank G d". And I agreed, and felt as it was a kind of a telegram from Hashem. This woman, a doctor, had her house blown because of a gas failure, fortunately the family was out, but because of stress she developed a cancer in the lungs. This happened two years ago, she's in chemo and had operations, and is still here, teaching others to appreciate life.

Coping with Challenges

Many reasons drew me to Judaism, and even more reasons keep me embracing Judaism on a daily basis. One reason I have observed, generally in Jews and specifically with my Jewish friends, is not that Judaism makes our lives perfect, but rather adhering to Torah based principles helps me cope with the challenges in my life in such a way as that I can love G-d and, sometimes, myself. Judaism gives me the courage to face my challenges and continue along the path G-d has offered me. Everyday, every moment, I must choose. Judaism helps me choose wisely, and even if that choice delivers pain, Judaism enables me to work through the pain to the other side where hope, love, and joy gives me the strength to move on with the knowledge that G-d is with me always. And that is not only okay, it is more than okay.

Two things strike me about this particular video.

First, nobody knows what goes on behind the closed doors of another person's home. For all I know, the wealthiest woman in my community may be battling a painful disease. (I HOPE this is not true. It was a hypothetical example.) Second, sometimes we need help in framing our challenges in a positive light. If a person is clinically depressed, we can't just tell them to look on the bright side. Perhaps the person who is mired in misery has an undetected medical issue and/or a psychiatric diagnosis. Just something to ponder.
