I think that if a person has some issues that they need to work out because of a bad experience they had, then they should work that out first and cleanse themself. Then they can start to use the tools of positive psychology to help them live a happy life

our souls and relationships
Excellent video feed from Aish.com.
It certainly is important to remember our relationships with G-d and other people, because there is bound to be similarities involved with one another.
I would just hope that the world would listen and understand one another, as opposed to ignorance and oppression.
At least if I can show selflessness to some extent, then I ought to receive selflessness from others who care about me. It all depends on one's priorities between themselves and others.

the road to Happy
We are living in an age in which the "idea" of positivity is taking root. There are so many books written about this notion. It isn't hard to understand and yet, why is it that so many people over so many years, feel great despair and do continue to experience deep depression and personal angst of all kinds? It's not hard to fathom, especially for a people for whom the Holocaust had such great "cost" and for whom the burden of intense suffering is a historical given.
The Secret, namely positivity, has been articulated in a very popular book but I don't think it's the entire story. I do totally agree with Tal Ben Shahar that to live, is to feel, increasingly, that there is another story running, and that it is to live in two worlds, recognizing that tikkun olam, the need to heal suffering, to extend friendship and love, is the mission for us all. It does seem that arriving in this place, is extraordinarily hard for so many and that a profound journey is involved, meaning you can't just "gift" this to someone. If the person is ready, then the teaching will be imbibed.
I think it's interesting one needs a "course in this" and for some, this will, perhaps, make sense. I don't think the lesson is that hard to learn and it has everything to do with putting the "kind" back into mankind, on all levels.
It is surely about ACTION and how we live our lives.
I applaud this lecturer for making this a universal subject and for including non Jews and also separating out religious observance from this. It's refreshing. Closeness with God surely does involve the "good" we do and I can point out something very clear, and that the word Good itself contains God. The other word that is "CLOSE" means closed, as in a closed system. Those of us who are open to extending our words to include all of us, meaning the entire world, well that's how we open our arms and bear arms in the most positive of ways. Namely we embrace each other as brothers. Yes, the others in brothers.
We will not move forward until we recognize that we are part of the family of man.
We have suffering in this world, and we have cruelty and terrible things. Sometimes it is hard to remain positive with all of this, and we do feel, in deep ways. I think this is a good thing if we can move out of this and keep on reaching for the light.
Life itself is bipolar. I am seeing that there is another story running and surely it's a journey of soul, and I am also seeing that the mystery itself is contained in the letters. In other words, that one ness that is what we call the light is present wherever we look and in words themselves are deep answers to the questions we all have, that are about existence itself and what we are doing here.
The true course in Miracles is the realization given in this video and it is also, the sanctification of our lives, meaning positivity coupled with sharing, with teaching, with love for not only each other but the environment and all beating hearts.
There is a man date and I do believe the answer to the greatest questions of all are contained by the letters themselves.
There is such alchemy to language and The Word. To use this gift, this clay, with positivity is the way to bring in the light.
