Happy people don't seek thrills to the point of risking their lives for them

I disagree with the photo used to illustrate point 1. Otherwise, great article!

What is happy?

I'm always cracking jokes, in fact sometimes when someone relays a story to me, I find certain things they say funny, not to them, but I have this "animated version" pops up in my head!! I really cant help myself, but most people walk around so serious and solemn. Is there something wrong with me?

They don't seem to get why I giggle or respond in laughter, it seems I really am odd, am I doing something wrong. I think that the more serious the person is, the funnier I see them, and the way they take things so serious. I am truly losing friends this way, I cant get to tell them why I see it funny, because they abruptly turn around and leave!

Is there something wrong with me? I'm not insensitive to their pain, in those circumstances I empathize, its just everyday chats and why are they so serious?

Do I define happy different to others? I cry just as much, very passionate about things that matter, when a Rabbi gives Shuirim, he cracks a joke, I laugh and I seem to be the only one as I see eyes looking at me, as if to say "why are you laughing"

Am I seeing happy wrong?

Kindred Souls

I am just like you, I think it's a gift from G-d to be so happy! But you have to control it if it seems not to sit well with people around you.I have learnt what they term "emotional intelligence". But I love how I am, I love that I have what I call a "puppy-heart". It makes life easy but then again I bruise so easily too.

That's me

All seven of them describe me to a T.
I'm in almost constant intractable pain, but I don't allow it to control my life. I'm never really alone because Hashem is always here.

My entire live's savings were destroyed in 2008, but after getting over the shock, it was no big deal. My only income is Social Security but I've food, shelter, a comfortable home and my toys (my computer, tablet, Kindle)

So what more do I need? I said need, not want.

Put me in the happy column!
