With Hamas rockets raining down on Israel, we must continue our efforts on the spiritual front.

Dear Rabbi Sytner,

I am in Jerusalem right now. Your point is so well taken. Israel must be strong and deal with this. I have seen the faces of men, women and children when the sirens go off. However a few minutes later, life goes on. At times like this we are one nation.

while in the gloomy and dark situation, it's hard to see the light and things feel hopeless. But we shouldn't despair. We are giving birth to redemption. Right now is the pain of delivery. - Faith, hope and trust, is the medicine that eases the pain somewhat, so we can look forward to the light of Dawn. May the redemption come soon, G-d willing

Difficulty with faith

At times like this, I have great difficulties with faith. I keep on recalling that 6 million, and probably more, of us were murdered a mere 70 years ago. And my faith wobbles. What will happen this time, with so much of the world once again unjustifiably against us? Taking pleasure in every misfortune we suffer? So it is good, and a great help, to read and hear the support that Aish.com offers. Thank you for being here.

Without our faith we are doomed.

It's hard to

be optimistic and have faith that the future will be bright when the dark days seem so dark and so long.

Thank you, these times are very difficult. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We need to stay strong. May our prayer and unity help to bring redemption soon

Israel's rollercoaster

I like your analogy of the moon. Even as you read this, the IDF is taking care of Hamas. HaShem will always see us through EVERYTHING.
