This is so impressive! This story shows the idealism of a girl, someone who wanted to make a difference and did it in her own special way. I think that many times as we get older we doubt the difference we can make by doing small things for others and this is a great reminder that we shouldn't underestimate ourselves or our actions. This girl will continue making a difference in the lives of others.

and with a meaning - not everything, including chesed is fun. Good point by Anon above - it's the muttitude of little things, like this, that have cumulative, powerful, impacts.

Thank you for they incredible reminder that the most important things we do are often aggregates of tiny acts--one bottle at a time, are often messy, and often leave the greatest impact on the giver!
Would you do it again?

Needed to hear this message
I know of a family that stopped talking to their sibling bc it was getting difficult....so instead of coping with this needy brother they just decided to push the delete button on him!! It didnt stop there.....they even got their children to cut out their uncle. Sometimes acts of kindness are difficult, smelly & gross, albeit we can't & shouldn't close the door on them! GD put them in our lives for a reason!!

sometimes, just sometimes we have to cut people out of our lives who make us physically and mentally sick. you do and do, invite, make all the holidays for years,, take care of parents as if you were an only child, you neglect your own children and husband to fill in the gaps in others depleted livesand it comes to a point where you have to cut them out, or be destroyed.
