I agree with you Rabbi. Both my husband and me come from homes where shalom was not there. We suffered from that and we promised each other that we would do all our possible to build shalom for us and for our children. 36 years later, we are still keeping our promise, despite now health and financial hardship. Thanks to Hashem.

I loved your clip you are so right I just wish everyone felt the way you feel the world and people would be nicer,less divorce more love and understanding.Families would stick together and work their problems out. All the best B'Shalom

conflict resolution is highly idealized. Money is supposedly the #1 cause for divorce. More specifically, may be not the shortage, but how couples view or value money differently. And habits, in this case spending, are difficult to overcome or compromise on. Yes, ideally, it would be helpful to be supportive and empahthetic of your spouses point of view. But hey, it's hard!

nice ideal, how do we make it happen?
This is a beautiful ideal, but not often actualized. More often than not, when faced with financial or other stressors most relationships become very strained. Do you have suggestions as to how we can deal with challenges so that they strengthen our relationships instead of weaken them?
