Hi Slovie, Thank you. I appreciate everything you've ever written or talked about that I had the good sense to absorb. In today's society especially in the diversity of people one encounters one must learn to expect the unexpected. But realistically that's hard to do. I know for me I am an imperfect person living in an imperfect world. Upon watching this video I am grateful because you planted a seed . Now , I need to keep this in mind .

thank you, i will try to remember this, it makes good sense, it will actually help the abuser too. to show what a waste of time that sort of anger is.

Listening to our Angel

This video is a great advice. I always try to do exactly the same. Take a step back and think where these horrific words are coming from. Sometimes it is hard, but we can accomplish our self control by taking a deep breath, and rethink. I usually walk away from hurtful people. I love my Jewish teachings!!!

The situation you have described

Perhaps this is a selfish response, but people with road rage frighten me. If another driver is honking and/or cursing at me, I will not respond to that person at all. For me a greater challenge is not snapping at someone who makes an ignorant and/or insulting comment to me. Several months ago someone caught me off guard and said something offensive which left me speechless and close to tears. I need to be able to look at such a person and ask why they would make such a comment. Finally, I certainly plan to make today better than yesterday! Kol tuv!!
