Don't underestimate the power of yoga.
Absolutely, great credit goes to the student and to his teacher. It should be told that yoga can create new neural pathways. It can help us become strong and improve our balance, build stamina, help us lose weight, stay young and flexible. It can keep the spine long and supple well into old-age. And it can give us internal peace and tranquility. It is a gift from HK"BH that is thousands of years old. It survivied the millenia for a good reason!!!

I Applauded at the End of the Video
B"H Bravo! Everyone at any stage in his life can take inspiration from this video. I made aliyah 5 months ago, and as a 64-year-old widow it has been 10X harder than I had anticipated, but the thought of giving up and returning to the country of my birth has never even crossed my mind. Just getting to the point at which I had all my ducks in a row well enough to get on the beautiful El Al plane that brought me to Israel took a lot of determination on my part. Steve is an inspiration to us all. Everyone on the planet should see this film. Has it been translated into other languages? May we all come to realize that Hashem has given us the tools to reach our goals, if we would simply (simply?) NOT GIVE UP!

People have told me for years what an inspiration I was to them as I went through my cancer treatments--both in 1996 and again in 2006. They thought I was brave, but all I was doing was living the life that G-d had set before me to live; I didn't choose to have cancer. It was G-d who did it all; I was merely His medium.
You, in contrast, were an active participant in your healing. You could have just sat there for the rest of your life and let nature take its course, but you got up and, against all odds, endured pain--and the risk of additional injury--to get your life back. It took a lot of work and courage to do what you did, and by the grace of G-d it paid off.
I praise God for the inspiration that you truly are.

That was wonderful! In Hebrew we say "yashar koach," but it's hard to translate. Something like "more power to you." My heartfelt congratulations and respect to both the veteran, who is a true hero, and his yoga teacher, who is a true master.

Each of us with what we think are our 'I'll never tackle that challenge' zones have to look at ourselves in the mirror more courageously after this video. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful. Author, you look great. The real challenge begins from now. I've shed significant weight in a short while, but it came back again when I was resting on my laurels. Please never stop exercise and make your efforts constant.

So inspiring. I can use this to help me out of a recurring depression I experience.
We need to question the diagnoses & presriptions our doctors hand out to us. This man never gave up, kept seeking out yoga people & found one who was willing to help him. That's the real inspiration in this story. It brought tears to my eyes, really.
