Yes you're right

Dear Rabbi Pliskin,
Thank you for sharing this personal story. It's true that just a few seemingly simple words of praise can make a huge positive impact on our own self esteem and that of others. I have experienced moments like that as well which have given me a boost in my self-confidence which I owe to the generosity of others. And we in turn can give to others in the same manner.
Thanks for this important reminder
