Good Lesson
I lost a very dear friend because of other people's gossip, and even to this day the harm has yet to be undone. It may take a lifetime, to undo the harm. If only everyone could control their words.

gossip with 8 second delay
that would be nice to have a quiet button. I guess we should all breath deep and count to ten before we speak.
Definitely easier said then done but little by little one may strive to improve.

Intriguing
We all (should) know that we shouldn't gossip. However, I wonder how often we hold in confidence information -- from others -- even when the person doesn't say it's confidential.

I recall Hillary Clinton some years ago, saying something very negative about George Bush and then justifying it by saying, "Oh, I thought everyone knew."

Okay, perhaps I've just committed lashon hera, but I didn't forget what you did, Hillary.

I love you
I am an 81 year old woman. Many years ago we had a sign made up for my Father's teaching. THINK!!!!
He told us to think before we speak because once you say something you cannot hide it or take it back.
Now we see that there is nothing new under the sun. Our parents and grand parents were great teachers. I only wish that I listened to all their words of wisdom.

I apologize but I just had another thought about what you said. It concerns the part about what Moses repeated to the Israelites. I wonder what you make of a verse like the one at Deuteronomy 3:26. But I don't mean to detract from the poignancy of your message. I think its thrust was great!

keep info simple
When having conversations with people, especially those who've you just met, I've learned to keep the conversation simple without any negative aspects.

As for repeating one's self, it's a matter of how the receiver listens...If only the Head On TV ads were less annoying, then maybe we would get the point at what is being marketed to remedy headaches, as opposed to repeating it 3x!

It's all about comprehension and cohesiveness.
