Was there a lecture by both parents to the children afterwards?

Kid's pit parent against parent. After this event, did the parents lecture to the childrend and punish them for what they did to the father? It should be understood in the household that when one is there with the children, he/she speaks for the two and therefore they are not permiited to ask the other when one says yes or no.
