A small detail about Mordechai

Est 2:7 tells us Hadassah was the daughter of Mordechai's uncle, making her his cousin, not his uncle. Great study brother!

Exceeded expectation!

Was drawn to this experience today through a dear friend and her email....simply a verse from Book of Esther. As I read the verse, I quested for reading the Book of Esther... which reminded me of Hamentashen and Purim, Finding this website, opens a recommitment of faith for me. and fresh understanding.

Another not-so-accurate fact

Taanis Esther, the fast of Esther, wasn't a fast the Jews called before battle. It was a fast of repentance, of Teshuva, to help overturn Haman's decree. The Jews fasted before Esther went into the King's palace, not before doing battle.

Behind the masked reality

Wonderful! Especially, "behind the masked reality is a loving, caring Gd." Blessings for a joyous, uplifting Purim.
