Rosh Hashana Rock Anthem is a parody of Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO.
Song Lyrics:
Synagogue, Rabbi’s talk, going on for a while, can you check the clock, huh
Cantor’s opera, lost my spot, do you know the place, choir in the slot
Wine we drink, with family now, good deeds you do, good for your soul
Fish head, ram's horn, shofar blow, give some money, appeal for dough
Yo, I’m returnin’ to the fold can you explain mo’
Got this desire to know Torah scroll, say hello
Our prayers rock, yeah, we’re the Jews and we question
Got the pride, just cant stop, our lives are changin'
Rosh Hashanah’s in the house tonight
All the world is passing through the light
Let’s all get written in the book of Life
Shana Tova – It’s High Holiday time
Taking stock is what we do tonight
Shana Tova – it’s High Holiday time
Let’s all get written in the book of Life
Blow the shofar and – Shuckle!
Three times a day I’m shucklin’
shucklin', shucklin'
Shofar blast, all across the world we will do this task
Apples and honey, feelin’ glad – now stop, never get mad
Fill the Kiddush cup, my friends around
Books are opened up, the challah’s round
All our history, we see it now
Now please hear our plea, we’re prayin' now
Stand up, sit down, pass the prayer books around
Stand up, sit down, pass the prayer books around
Stand up, sit down, pass the prayer books around
Pass the prayer books around, pass the prayer books around
Rosh Hashanah’s in the house tonight
All the world is passing through the light
Let’s all get written in the book of Life
Shana Tova – it’s High Holiday time
Taking stock is what we do tonight
Shana Tova – it’s High Holiday time
Let’s all get written in the book of Life
Blow the shofar and – Shuckle!
Everyday I'm shucklin'

Cool Dance, But...
The dancing and the moves are great, but I just don't feel like it conveys the true spirit of Rosh HaShana. Even when we're trying to attract the younger generation, to show the secular world that Judaism can be cool and fun, we have to be honest about what we're selling. And Rosh Hashana is not about dance moves. Yes, it's a day of joy. But it's a joy mixed with the respect, awe, and seriousness that accompanies a day of judgement. So let's present it that way. And even if it doesn't look quite as cool, doesn't spark quite as many enthusiastic responses, at least we are being honest. With ourselves and the rest of the world.

What a wonderful clip! My husband and I are in our 70's and we were dancing along with our Golden Retriever to this happy beat, having a great time! Although we are in good shape and exercise daily at our Gym, we have to leave the break-dancing up to the younger ones, but what a great enjoyment it gives us to watch these young people having such a marvelous time while bringing the message of Rosh Hashanah home. l'Shanah Tovah to all and may it indeed be very sweet!

I loved this video! It brought back memories and my longing to go back and visit the Old City! It is one of the most beautiful places in the world where your Yeshiva is. And that is why Jews worldwide should have been speaking out all along against supporting a mythical Palestinian state in Israel's midst. When Israel agreed to give the Palestinians a state, they were essentially admitting that they stole the land from the Palestinian nation which is a dangeous toxic lie. This has reverberated into a very dangerous situation, especially with the upcoming appeal to the UN by the PA on 9/23. We see what has happened in Gaza and all over the middle east. Let's hope that this will never happen to the rest of Israel, including our precious Jerusalem! At this point we truly need Hashem's intervention! We Jews messed up and we need to fix this before it is too late! These Arabs must be absorbed by their brethren and their 26 countries and leave tiny Israel alone!

If Only We Know What We Could Accomplish
Hi David, you make an interesting point. If only we could all see the true power of our prayers, especially on Rosh Hashanah, I think we would all want to start break dancing! Rosh Hashanah is a time where we can experience great joy in the ability to renew ourselves, but it's also a time where we stand before G-d in judgement, so we must give this time of year the respect that it deserves.
