Realistic & enjoyable
this is comedic-tragedy to me; it's like Ling is living the 'failure by design' model of trying to find employment & meaning in a dubious world. How wonderful yes, that Ha Shem has reached out to him in his confused state - because 1 area of life reverberates into another - & these difficult bridges cannot be crossed w/out the help of a rabbi or significant other - who keeps the Holy Word first in his heart, soul & actions. It's Ha Shem's design, not ours.
