This short and simple little story forces one to ask oneself, What kind of, or rather, am I a friend to anyone? Before hearing Rabbi Noah of Blessed Memory tell this story, just maybe our number of friends and those who consider us as a friend has suddenly shifted...

to no.4 bec like a father who wants his child to live and would give up is life for him so too a good friend like that wanted his friend to live and since they were both true friends they were arguing about who will live.

Why the friend comes back

In my opinion I think the friend offered to kill himself, because he placed his friends life above his own. It seems like a dog, some dogs would place their owners lives over their own and risk their lives to save their owners because they care about their owners that much. If we were all only lucky enough to all have friends like this.

I've heard this story many times but hearing from his beautiful voice brought tears to my eyes. How baren are we as a nation without such a tzadek. HaShem should have rachmanut on us and send yeshua, hadracha and koach to cling and live by Him.
