No one can doubt that G-d is indeed the Guardian of Israel
Without a shadow of a doubt, Israel is nurtured and protected by the one and only Almighty G-d of Israel. May He bring Mashiach (the Messiah) very quickly in our days so we can live to see the rest of the blessings in the prophecies come true. (As astoundingly beautiful and awe inspiring as this testimonial video is, it is a drop in the bucket compared to the miracles that will take place when G-d redeems the entire Jewish people from exile and returns all of us to our land).

Thank you for your kind words!
Dear Ms. Boville:Thanks so much for your most beautiful words about my people. They are very heartfelt. I do not come across many people like you; in fact throughout my entire life, I only met one other "non-Jew" who loves the Jewish people. May G-d's blessings be upon you and your family to fulfill His words in the book of Genesis. It says "I will bless the people of the nations that bless you and curse the ones who curse you."Most sincerely, gratefully, and appreciatively, Minna Weinreb

Unbelievable amount of volunteer work
Such success could only come with G-d's help and blessing. This clip didn't even touch on the amazing amount of volunteer work all through Israel. Almost everyone I know is involved extensively here in Israel, and there is quite a lot of outreach to third world countries. Also, despite how it is portrayed, the moral level of the army is something the world should know and emulate.Thank G-d for a People who is slowly but surely becoming more and more of a light to all.

Around the mid-1990's I had 2 dreams which I remember distinctly. In both I was talking to a person who had died and who I trusted implicitly. They both struck me as very knowledgeable about world affairs, one of whom had been a reknowned religious figure. In both dreams, each of these 2 different people said the same thing to me (rather seriously): "Everything that happens to Israel will happen to the United States." As I look at our situations, I see it is true and it is quite scary.
April 14, 2013 7:17 PM
Many Americans believe the USA and Israel are inseparable. There are those who would try to drive a wedge between US and I for one do not think for a minute it can be done. Was it a coincidence C.Columbus came to a New World ? He may not have been the first to discover America but he was the first to start the ball rolling that would create a new nation that would be named America, just about the time Spain had ordered all Jewish people to leave Spain. Of course Christopher Columbus was Jewish. So, its no, of course not, Israel and America will never be separated. So goes one so goes the other. G-d bless(es) Israel/America.

G-D bless Israel. If there had been no holocaust we could have been rid of cancer, heart disease, etc. The Jews and their homeland are peace loving. Every other country surrounding Israel is jealous of the strides it has made. The people are warm, caring and giving altho I will admit there are some real wackos which I saw at the rally in NY. Orthodox Jews living off the people, not working and saying thatte land should go to Palestine. May there be another 1000 years of Israel day and may it continue to grow and prosper .
March 14, 2012 8:11 PM
one thing you should know. As many Jews as there are, each is an individual. No-one, but no-one has the same opinion or ideas. Don't lump us together and I won't lump you together. But you should know that a Jew who keeps the mitzvot and learns Torah is what's helping us to survive!

It is about time!!!
yes, it is about time that the Jewish State make movies such as this video, I ndo not call it broging or show of I call it recognition and pride cause I believe that it is time that all Jews should coordinate and unite more than in any time before, we are back after 2000 years in exile we must rename the state that it should be recognized as "THE JEWISH STATE OF ISRAEL" we must show the world the truths and we must defend our borders as per our bible, we must no longer relinquish not a singl square inch of our sacred lands to arabs, muslims, and others, I was always proud to be BORN jEWISH AND i AM MORE PROUD TODAY FOR THE ADVANCED DEVELOPEMENT OF OUR HOME LAND.

Not the proper reasons to support Israel
Certainly, Israel has a lot to be proud of in terms of its advances in many different fields. However, if for arguments sake we assume that Israel never achieved any of this and was actually one of the lowest achieving countries in the world, would that be any less reason to support Israel? Surely we should support Israel simply because it is a Jewish state in the Jewish land and not because of the number of great inventions, however magnificent, it has produced.

One other thing
Helen Thomas. Jews ARE at home. We are finally in the land of Israel. Our home isn't Poland, Germany or any of the other places you may think we should home. Our eternal home is the land of Israel.
Like any other country, we have the right to protect ourselves and fight our enemies.
The United States has killed and wounded thousands of innocent civilians without so much as an apology, without so much as admitting that we've thrown families into poverty when we kill the head of the families.
But let Israel LEGALLY prohibit boats from entering the ports in Gaza and the world comes down on us for killing a handful of terrorists who wanted to kill Israeli troops. They DELIBERATELY broached the blockade and paid the price; but they were not innocent civilians, they were not suicide bombers, they were volunteer mass murderers whose empty threats backfired and they wound up dead. That is what happens to criminals who are caught in their criminal pursuits.
I've begun asking Jew-haters why they hate Gd. Then I show them in Tenach were we are Gd's chosen people and the apple of His eye. By hating us, they are hating the Gd who has kept us ONE people for over three thousand years. I am handing out brochures by www.wiesenthal.com/tenbiglies that points out the truth about us. WE know the truth (most of us do) but many do not; it is our job to stop laying down and taking the world's insults and start protecting ourselves.
May 5, 2014 9:08 PM
I simply couldn't fathom the remarks made by Helen Thomas. Vile, ughly, but most of all ignorant. As for the blockade I was ready to sell or borrow funds to get over there and stand in solidarity with those being attached. I could not believe the world was outraged a small country had the temerity to stand up for themselves.
June 7, 2010 12:31 PM
here we are and here we stay
i love beeing jewish. the more they hate us the more we love we love who we are and what we stand for.
justice will prevail. the jewish people will prevail.
May 23, 2010 1:50 PM
"The pursuit of knowledge for its own sake, an almost fanatical love of justice, and the desire for personal independence--these are the features of the Jewish tradition which make me thank my stars that I belong to it."
I am jewish forever and would carry this burden a billion times over no matter what the consequence. I love my faith, I love my people, I love my country, I love my family and I love what being Jewish stands for. All that is good in this world and beyond. Unlike the sad story of Native Americans our sacred tree will never die, we will continue to carry the burden of hate, anger and frustration directed towards us by so many. Hate us all you want but that makes us stronger.
May 16, 2010 7:36 PM
Long before the State of Israel there was Eretz Yisrael, The Land of Israel, in fact it has been the case for thousands of years. Because Jews couldn't live as a majority in the land because of persecution doesn't make it a new state. It has always been the country of the Jewish people. We haven't returned to it for nothing.
May 14, 2010 7:40 AM

This film belongs on tv
The media either ignores Israel or is critical of it. None of the amazing accomplishments Israel should get credit for makes the news. (Haiti help was a rare exception). This film (and others) should be on tv - we need good advertisements - and plenty of them!
May 11, 2010 8:54 AM

God bless the Jewish people
Israel is our homeland. The one and only. We should feel very proud of our traditions and legacy, mainly through our land, the one promised to our people thousands of years ago. I want to congratulate the people who did this video because of the way it make me feel each time I watch it. THANK YOU.
April 30, 2010 10:34 PM
Every time I read something like this, I blush with pride yet I don't live in Israel or have even been to Israel, I feel that it's still part of my being. I heard this one time from (of all people) Ivana Trump. She said, "Living well is the best revenge!" That sums up Israel in a nutshell. A country that embraces education, WOMEN etc. has taught me, an American Jew how to live. Thank you.
April 30, 2010 2:11 AM
who helped make America what is is today!
I read a book called--"Pioneer Jewa". I don't remember who wrote it, but I opened my eyes to how much the Jews helped settled this country. I think they first came over here in the 1640's. The people here welcomed them. They even worked in the government. They were the main ones who helped Washington win our independents. They helped during the Civil war also. The gov. welcomed and blessed the Jewish people, so God blessed this country.------Until Bush Sr. He really turned against them. And each president after that contined it. So I am sorry to say, God is turning against us. If you don't think so, compair the disasters, and storms happening now, against the times our gov. has gone against Isrial. You will be surprised.----God is taking His hands off this country!!!!!--------------I have always been for the Jewish people. I am glad I have been because about 7 yrs., I found out that I am Jewish. (I am in my 60"s) I wish I had known sooner. With God's help, one day I will be able to go to Isrial. I think that, because of the way the Jewish people have been treated over the centris, God has blessed them with high intelligents. Otherwise, why are they so smart. Smarter tham most people. When "man" makes it hard on you in one way, God will bless you in other ways.
May 5, 2014 9:41 PM
Jewish settlers on our shores helped finance the War of Independence. Volunteered for the Civil War. Along with that little known Explorer....Christopher Columbus. I had Dutch relatives in the early 1600's helped settle New Amsterdam and Manhattan - I cannot prove they were Jewish by very business people. Funny, I cannot find any of them being buried in the Dutch West Indies Xian cemeteries? There are fantastic websites out there for geneology. Found a gggrandfather in Memphis TN in a Jewish cemetery. Sadly, that doesn't count because it's patrilenear. My mom always remarked that I was her only Jewish daughter. She was so reserved, quiet, elegant but with good taste. Why on earth would she have called me that if some memory wasn't trying to surface. I know the relatives are there, just have to find them. Always enjoyed doing research in the Mormon libraries. When you find someone they ring a little bell - because another angel just got their wings.

US Foreign Aid to Israel STILL gets foreign aid from America
April 24, 2010 10:32 AM
A missing item
A great summary of Israel's achievements. One thing needs to be added to it though: an explanation of why every man, woman and child of this amazingly modern and successful nation should continue to get a donation of $ 2 per day from the hard-pressed taxpayers of the USA.
Patrick B. Leek,
April 23, 2010 11:56 AM
US Aid To Israel
One of the things I love about Torah is the concept that doing a mitzvah is best if it's uncredited. I get sick and tired of people always belittling Israel by saying that any accomplishments is solely due to US aid. People conveniently forget Egypt got the same aid thanks to Camp David.
If one can't give aid without expecting Israelis to grovel maybe there shouldn't be any aid given.
April 23, 2010 2:43 AM
United States and Israel
United States should embrace Israel instead of ignoring it. After United States falls due to its current administration, maybe Israel will take up its place.
April 23, 2010 12:45 AM
a little known fact
Israel stopped receiving American foreign aid in 1997. A little known fact.
April 22, 2010 6:57 AM
Shalom. Thank you for your email which I found both informative and interesting. It shines as an Israeli beacon, surrounded as you are by a sea of darkness and reaction. As a former soldier myself the plight of Sgt. Shalit strikes
aparticular resonance for me.As you may be aware this email comes from Ireland where, despite what you may think, many of us are pro-Israeli. Whilst I do keep in regular contact with your Embassy if you feel that I may be of assistance please feel free to contact me. Meanwhile, I should appreciate it if you could tell Sgt. Shalit's family that I pray for the safe return of their son.
April 22, 2010 6:53 AM
Israel received its independence 62 years ago. It is not a child an adolescent subservient youth. Righteous Europe and US may handle their own issues, manage their own politics, forget 1917 and Balfour but they should NOT subjugate and wish obliteration of Israel. They may look into their own history to see what they did with less peril to save themselves. Oil, sensitivity to Muslims; they have the right to do it within their own borders. I was born on Mt. Scopus, lived in Beit Israel Ha-Hadasha, played in Sheich Jarach, went to school passing the Mandilboiym gate. 1948, the British sold us to the devil, giving armaments to the Arabs who lost the war. I could not visit the Wailing Wall, Mt. Scopus Sheich Jarach Mandilboiym gate because the Arabs captured them NOT by a peaceful accord but BY WAR. Israel was attacked again
April 22, 2010 5:59 AM
You're point is factually incorrect & has been historically disproven.
Egyptians receive a massive amount of foreign aid from the United States, but what is their rate of entrepreneurship amongst women?
The Palestinians receives the largest number of foreign aid IN THE WORLD, but where are all their nobel laureates?
Have you heard of Einstein, Cohn, Lederman, Salk, and the list goes on and on...all before Israel and foreign aid. So what explanation can you come up with now? Perhaps the Rothschilds funded their experiments?
April 22, 2010 4:11 AM
Israel is a blessing!
Israel is God's blessing to humanity. May God keep Israel safe and strong, may there be peace in Jerusalem!
April 21, 2010 8:33 PM
Although I have heard most of this information before, it is worthwhile reading it again to remember why Israel is such a special state.
April 21, 2010 8:13 PM
And their neighbours don't get any aid right?
April 21, 2010 4:03 PM
Claire, walk a mile in OUR shoes and see how tolerant you become!
The Jewish people can't even have our own website and hang out with one another without others butting in and saying how "we should think, feel, and write." We ask "why are there so many problems in the world or why is there fighting going on in Israel?" 53 picked the fight, I just fought back! Same with what is going on in the world, the Arabs against Israel on their own soil. If your heart is really NOT for the Jewish people, don't pray for us, we don't need prayers from someone who thinks we should just take the blows! The Jewish people are part of Humanity also, and we do past, present and will in the future contribute to the good of Humanity, it's just our Nature!
April 21, 2010 4:00 PM
Is this what we should be proud of?
We, the Jewish people are here to be a spiritual light among the nations. None of the true impessive facts mentioned in this video unfortunately don't reflect our destiny and purpose
April 21, 2010 1:10 PM
Bill if the Arab countries didn't supply oil to the U.S., where would they be now, or all the material supplies in stores, that come from China ect ect.? (foreign aid) Are the Arab countries "supporting" the U.S. so it can survive from their goodwill? Is China clothing the naked in the US doing charity? Tolerance, if you think it bothers us that people do in fact hate us, it doesn't, there will always be people that will hate us humble or not, successful or not, our friendliness, they see as a weakness. We will defend ourselves from their hate! When we speak peace, they speak war. When we praise, they try to discredit our praise. Israel, in all their accomplishments has been achieved by the hard work of the Jewish people. Give credit where credit is due!
April 21, 2010 4:42 AM
good show, ignored key info
I don't question the presentation, only the foundation of those facts. If it weren't for massive US foreign aid to Israel, its accomplishments might be fewer than currently stated. Google "us aid to israel by year" to find many hits, such as:
April 21, 2010 3:14 AM
These varied and argumentative comments...
...are a testament to why we're so productive and successful as a people. We're never satisfied with a simple answer. Every Jew just needs to simmer down and settle with the fact that our fate is inescapable. We're not just some other nation on this planet. We ARE eternal Israel!
April 21, 2010 1:47 AM
A great video about Israel's contributions!
April 20, 2010 7:21 PM
If you want tolerance," give it to others in order to receive it yourself". I bless your people everyday, but it is disappointing to read how arrogant and intolerant some of these comments are. Be more humble, and you will save yourself from unnecessary hate.
April 20, 2010 12:36 AM
Jews vs Arabs
The Jews in Israel have, as man have in the past, done so much for medical and scientific inventions, vs what have the Arabs accomplished besides trying to kill off the Jews and Israel??
April 19, 2010 11:05 PM
Wasn't going to fail this test! You are questionable ??? 53
When you can see the good in the land you live in, you also can see the good in another land. What country would want their citizens to hate their country? Every country promotes Patriotism with their citizens, would be silly not to. Does it mean everyone agrees in all the politics or leaders from time to time? No of course not. Some think they have been shafted by the goverment just like some other country. Israel, from their citizens could say the bad that is there along with the good. To be Patriots, is to still be Proud of your country, wherever that is. Israel is God's country, and it means alot to religious folks of different faiths. When people say the U.S. supports Israel, it means they are supportive of Israel,(take sides with; or hold up as a foundation to the U.S.) not actually supporting it financially. You were crude in your remark of the Jewish people, I will nip it in the bud, before it spreads. Last week "the big discussion" on an article if a test was given again, would folks be silent or pass it. I"m passing it and speaking up! You are wrong 53 in your thoughts and words. Then again, it only shows you can't see the good in your own land and your own people and neither in yourself. Someday you may find yourself a refugee, and your country will not want you back!
April 19, 2010 8:38 PM
Jews that are antisemitic?
How can a Jew who calls themselves a Jew be antisemitic? That is SELF-HATRED. Is someone that is like that have they dabbled with others that are antisemitic and it rubbed off on them? They surely have joined with others that are! Know who you are and stick up for yourselves!
April 19, 2010 8:32 PM
Those refugees, as you so rudely stated, are the Holocaust survivors. The very ones who went to Israel, and their children and childrens children who helped built up Israel as what it is today, as seen in this film. Which obviviously you have a problem with. The Jewish people are human beings, not just human doing. That's why people like you have a problem with them when they are down and when they are up. NOBODY KICKS A DEAD DOG! Ever heard of that? The Jewish people are a people that others want to knock down from status. If they were nobodies, who would care? Who would kick them? The statue of Liberty welcomed the Holocaust survivors. If not, maybe the United States would still be in the Great Depression???

April 19, 2010 4:53 PM
If you live in the United States, antisemitic is against the law. Mel Gibson was arrested for it, so don't think you won't be either. Watch your tongue!
April 19, 2010 3:47 PM
What an antisemitic comment #53
# 53 your mindset is exactly what the muslims are saying who are trying to destroy Israel's right as a Nation of their own. You may be an atheist who fears the City of God. Your fear will come upon you and overtake you! You came to the wrong place to voice such an opinion!

Anonymous 53 - Israel the 51 US State??? some remarks
Anonymous 53, did you know that Copaxone®, has been developed by Israeli scientist Weitzman Institute for Science, Rehoboth, as Teva's Israel largest product and its first major innovative drug, is a leading Multiple Sclerosis ("MS") therapy. Copaxone®, brings relief to millions of people over the world, indicated for reduction of the frequency of relapses in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis ("RRMS"). Be careful to keep it mind and not forget.
Did you know, Anonymous 53, that Israeli tomatoes seeds export to the benefits of the world, are 16 (sixteen!!!) times in value than gold...?
Samples are many, Anonymous 53, do not forget that when you next time send your SMS – remember it also comes from Israel

Israel Makes Europe Look Third-World
No wonder Europeans are so ripping mad about Israel. They hate Israel and Jews as much as the Arabs and Muslims do. This helps explain why! Thanks. Hag sameach!

I am the last person that would want a state run like muslims have but I would actually like to have a different selling point for own people besides its industrial achievements. Remember what happened in the 80's when the economy went sour? People left. But if you have a nation that is proud of itself, and is built on some key values, then for worse or better, people will stay and be proud of her. Again, one video like this is fine. But thats all I ever see. It's a shame, in my opinion, that what we are showing to our own people is our material accomplishments only and not striving for something that can never be taken away from us.
April 18, 2010 8:18 PM
Quite interesting, thanks for sharing... Hope all is well!
April 18, 2010 5:48 PM
68) Chanan- you`re 100% right
I agree and Identify with every word! We are supposed to be "or la`goyim" - a light to the other nations. To show them the true light, Hashem our creator, and the beauty of his ways. Not just mimic the rest of the world and do a good job at it.
April 18, 2010 5:20 PM
Re: Nothing New
I completely understand your point from a Zionist Israeli's perspective. However, these videos are important, not for you and me, but for those misinformed who are embarrassed of their 'outdated' religion and assume that Israel is an archaic, religiously-fanatic (ironically) country making problems for Jews' reputation with their 'religious wars.' If Israel's main "selling point" for these people were Israel's religion and values, why, in their eyes, is Israel any better than the Muslim countries that continuously proselytize and follow their own religious values?
These videos validate Israel's existence as a modern state focused on progress and advancement, contributing to the global community far more than just religion and contrasting with the backwards and oppressive Muslim states. Israel is 'condemned' often as it is; Heaven forbid, if Israel were not a modern, advance, democratic state, would it have as much [human] support? First we must secure Israel's existence, with the message that Judaism only complements, and does not subtract from, a modern progressive state, creating a beacon of light unto the nations. Once all Jews are united in their love and support for their homeland, G-d willing acceptance & unity in other aspects will follow.

Great but - Could be better
Since biblical times, there has been an enduring Jewish presence in the Land of Israel
Since biblical times, there have been documented, ongoing movements of Aliyah (immigration) to the Land of Israel
Throughout history there has been clear acknowledgment by all of the worlds major nations and empires that Israel is the Jewish Homeland.

There is nothing new about this video. These types of videos are everywhere on youtube. I am a proud Israeli, but there is something that doesn't sit too well with me with these videos. The majority of this video is about material accomplishments. What if tomorrow, Israel lost all these material accomplishments. No more start up companies. Its hi-tech industries fall from world recognition....what would you be proud of next? No, there needs to be something more foundational that we should show to the world. Specifically, our values and our message of monotheism. Don't get me wrong, every nation needs these sort of accomplishments, but it can't be that this is all what we are constantly making videos about. There is so much internal problems in Israel. Secular vs Charedi, question of whether zionism is alive or dead etc etc etc. I don't see Israel functioning so well in the future unless its identity and values are put forth first to its OWN citizens, then the world. I would prefer videos that show Israeli citizens united in their identity, know the mission of the Jewish people in the world along with its values...and as a side point, mention that we are awesome in the material aspects as well. Because guess what, if some day when markets crash, and Israel is no longer #1 in tech and industry, Jews WILL leave Israel, unless they have something that transcends the material accomplishments.
April 18, 2010 3:59 AM
So proud of our country...But can't help but think that all this arouses more anti-semitism. It's damned if we do, and damned if we don't. They despise us when we are beaten refugees and despise us when we are successful.
April 17, 2010 2:48 PM
Happy Birthday to you and may you have many more
Mr.(53)Anonymous you need to grow up soon. Isreal exists with or without America's help. America helps the just and right. I'm born and raised in the USA. I admire Israel, they are like a city on a hill, to look up to, not to be jealous of. The US didn't hand anything over to Israel free of charge. Israel paid for all they had received from the US. The US was profiting monetarily off of Israel and still do. Keep that in perspective! If the UN didn't want the refugees, than Jews just profited off of that, THANK GOD!
April 16, 2010 6:51 PM
The US derives many benefits from Israel
to ???: Joseph Sisco, former assisant secretary of State, told Israeli author Shmuel Katz, " I want to assure you, Mr. Katz, that if we were not getting full value for our money, you would not get a cent from us." Senator Daniel Inouye :"The contribution made by Israeli intelligence to America is greater than that provided by all NATO countries comblined". The benefits are too numerous to mention.
April 16, 2010 12:45 PM
Great and impressive !
Now let's do some work on the education ministry so we can have them on the list next year
April 16, 2010 12:39 PM
you forgot to mention 99% of research funding
comes from the US and the EU.
Also Israel is #1 for % military budget spending, and in throwing money at construction only deemed to be demolished sooner or later.
Go back to investing in education and research! maybe then we'll consider coming back :-(

i love the video, home run again!! i would love the map with the christian and more importantly the muslim countries to remain on the screen a little longer when israel shows up - it is (one of) the most deceptive misrepresentations on the news that the map of the region is never shown or spoken about. i feel that it says it all.
April 16, 2010 2:01 AM
Israel is the 51st state, without US support it would not exist. If UN nations at the end of WW2 did not create it (because they didn't want millions of Jewish refugees) they would not have established this 'homeland'
M M Zuhair,
June 6, 2012 9:55 AM
You are right
Thanks for stating the truth.
.... and had it not been created in that way, there would be no trouble in the mid-east and the world would be much better and peaceful place then.
May 5, 2014 9:57 PM
#53 OH My!
Well, if Israel is ever purposed as a 51st state that would be great. But, I have a little hunch that they wouldn't want to be nor are they incapable of defending themselves. And, your comment about them not being able to support themselves is pure hogwash.....as far as I'm concerned I'd close the UN building tomorrow and make condos out of the space. How about we hire you to man the elevators and the doors?

I coming home!!!
This video is amazing. Although Israel is not my home as of yet, but as each day passes I do pray and hope one day I will make it there. Than my dream will no longer be a dream but a reality, and thus i can truly say Yisrael is my home. This video is a true inspiration to why I should not give up trying to get there to the place I want to call home. Though I must I admit sometimes I do feel like giving up. Thanks for reinspiring why I want to be there and why I should never give up. I hope you all continue to produce videos like this to keep peoples hope up and to make people aware that Israel is wonderful place to be. And not what the media sometimest procieve it to be a place of war. That is the first thing people ask me is why would you want to go there when there is constent war and so far. I smile and respond with why wouldn't I with postive reason why I want to and why it wouldn't change.
April 15, 2010 1:37 PM
And what's really amazing is that there is so much more - that hasn't been mentioned.
Israel is amazing!

God created the universe but chose Israel for Himself
I am a gentile and not a really relegious person, but I love Israel. Every country where the Jewish people have been free to work and live without fear has prospered and no nation that has tried to harm them has succeeded. I live in the US and I am afraid to see some here that are trying to limit our support for Israel. Maybe God made America great tso that we can help His People.

I 'm a proud descendant from sephardic jews.
I'm a brazilian woman who descend from iberian jews, syrian jews and my family, a big family, ever live as a non-jew family 'cause they had a lot of fear about the persecution above our Nation, here and there! But in secret, all of us ever and ever be happy about the success and victories on Yisrael, however under hard fights and impious wars! But G'd is blessed and The Almighty never leave Yisrael without help and support. Yisrael is our beloved nation, land and people. We are only unknown and expatriate jews, but we are remaking and regrowing our roots and jewlife. Our heart still pulse with jew love and blood.

PS re "I am a german and i look often to all aspects about Israel. And i am a great fan from Martin van Crefeld"

Israel: Model For The World!
I was born and live in the USA; as this film alone shows, if more nations regardless of creeds or secular natures adopted Israel's mindsets, truly we would have a global community with more aspirations for many more ages to come!

One Jewish State
I wonder, given all these accolades, how we reach humility?
I just saw the film Waltz with Bashir, about the War in Lebanon, about a terrible massacre, and so I am saying, YES, I love you Israel, but Israel has others living within her borders and they too, have hearts and minds. And so I am saying, let it be PEACE somehow and let us figure this out because it's been too long, too much suffering, too much sadness on both sides. And there will be no refuge for us, unless we take care of all the refugees, and so maybe it's a world problem, and a deep humanitarian need, to find a solution that truly works, so this will finally STOP.

just a point or two
Israel is not officially Jewish, from what I understand, just like the U.S. is not officially Christian. Israel is Jewish in that it is a refuge for Jews.
Also, I would really love to have at my fingertips the sources of the cited stats.

Thanks for a great little film. Good to see your work here.
I remember you as Ephraim, when I used to do some fund-raising for Aish in Toronto.

Indigenous population returning after 2,000 years?
This video sells short the Jewish People's claims to Eretz Israel. Since pre-Bibilical times, there has never been a century when Jews were absent from their ancestral homeland. Namely, there were always many Jews in the Middle East (circa one million in 1900) and always some Jews living in their ancestral homeland around the Jordan River. Of all extant Peoples, the Jewish People has the strongest claim to be aboriginal to Israel. And, the Jewish People never lost its continuing demographic links to the Holy Land. All this talk about a return after 2,000 years has been used by Israel's enemies. It is also a sad reflection of the arrogance and ethnocentrism of Ashkenazim who tend to ignore the importance of Jewish history in Israel and the Middle East during the centuries from Roman rule through the Arab caliphates to the Ottoman period. This kind of Ashkenazic myopia makes for bad history and also a relatively weaker claim to the land. Time to be smarter about how we understand history and how we frame legal arguments.

The last "fact" is WRONG. Other than that - great clip!
Great clip. However, the last "fact" that's mentioned in it is wrong. From its conception through its founding and until this very day, Israel has never been defined as a Jewish state in the religious sense. It is not governed by religious Jewish law; even the law of return does not apply purely on a religious basis. Israel is a Jewish state not like Iran is a Muslim state, but rather like France is a french state. It is the state of the Jewish people, not of the Jewish religion. Accordingly, its conflict with its Arab neighbours is rightfully reffered to as the "Arab-Jewish\Zionist", and not "Muslim-Jewish" conflict. It is beyond me why Aish would make this mistake.
Please excuse the critical tone. Other than this, its actually a great clip.

Another important Israel 1st fact - most humanitarian rules of war. And An Israeli team from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya, recently beat out 44 universities to take first place in the 2010 Jean-Pictet Competition on international humanitarian law held March 20-27 in Quebec, Canada.
