… while there are no remaining Jewish refugees from Arab countries?

Illigal Refugees

With respect to the "West Bank" region under control of the PA, the people living there cannot legally be defined as refugees, even if living in "camps". The reason is that as Palestinians who are living under a globally accepted Palestinian government - the PA - they are legally equivalent to a Canadian living in Canada or a Croatian living in Croatia. Thus, they are not refugees and UNWRA should not operate there.

Egyptian Jews did not remain refugees long.

Many Egyptian Jews were imprisoned after the 67 war. Their crime? They were Jewish - of course they were guilty!

I have a friend who was imprisoned and tortured for three years before he was released. He is now a proud American. He and many Jews lost everything when they left Egypt. He made a new home in the US and worked hard to be successful.
