Tefilah B'Har Habayit-- this year! WE CAN DO IT!

Great dvar Torah & video! So nu, let's go up to Har HaBayit B'Teharaha! We CAN DO IT! Contact the Machon HaMikdash for halakhic instructions if you are not aware of them. Become aware of them--there is plenty of room up there where we are allowed to walk! The next generation is depending on us!

Even more!

I used this concept when I wrote my sister's graduation speech, and it goes even farther than that. When Moshe Rabbeinu asked the meraglim to find out if the residents of the Land lived in machanayim or mivtzarim, camps or fortified cities, he meant it as a gauge of their strength. If they lived in camps, without protection, they were obviously capable of protecting themselves, strong opponents. If they lived in fortified towns, they were weak, relying on the walls to save them. However, when the meraglim came back, they were so cowed and determined to be afraid that they twisted their own findings! To them, fortified cities, far from being signs of weakness in the inhabitants, were signs of strong people. They took a qualification that was supposed to reassure and made it into a problem. They were so scared, they didn't even give the Land a chance. They even mentioned first that "hayinu beEINEINU kechagavim," that they were in THEIR OWN eyes like grasshoppers, before mentioning that so they were "beEINEIHEM," in the eyes of the giants. Their fear took them over and influenced their entire viewpoint. (Thanks Rebbetzin Twerski!) May we be zoche to be rejoicing in Yerushalayim this time next year.
