Recognition Only

Please, get it straight - the UN did NOT vote to create Israel. The vote was to RECOGNIZE the state just declared. Yes, it was a triumph that they did so vote. But even if they had not recognized Israel at that point, we would have gone ahead with the founding of the state (and the Arabs would still have attacked). Israel's existance is NOT dependent in any way on the UN - who by the way made up for that one positive vote with many tens of anti-Israel resolutions!

This is by far the best Jewish video I have ever seen. It has changed how I look at my religion. I'm so proud to be a Jew. I want to learn more. Thank you for posting this.

Hi Very instructive video. But my question is where was God when his chosen people was suffering ? how could that happen? He helped Moses crossing the sea followed by the freed Jews of Egypt, so why did my ancestors had to die in the concentration camps?

It's all in the Torah

Jews turned their backs on G-d, so this is what resulted. Europe was one large cesspool of assimilation, and G-d would have none of it. In retrospect, we clearly see that the holocaust was the end of the haskalah, the enlightenment.
