Turn down the volume and give him enough rope..

It is a given that even though CNN is a news channel there must be some level of entertainment. I wondered, when watching this, about the interviewer's propensity for shouting and cutting off the responses of this cleric. It would be far more telling, for instance, to ask both men to have the Koran in hand and then challenge the cleric over what is actually written rather than what is made up. For example where is it stated that rape, acid and abuse of women is right and the education of woman is wrong? Unfortunately the Koran does have some passages that can, with barely any effort, support the violence being perpretated around the world. (ie for example Al baqara 2:190-194 or Al nisa 4:89-91) it is simple to walk into a store, harass the clerk and them claim prejudice or attack when being thrown out.

UK is reaping what they've sown

These countries have known about these people for years and chose to ignore them. Now the time has come where they will be rewarded for turning a blind eye. The very snake they have been feeding will come back to bite. Where were they when the anti-Israel rallies were taking place? The deafening silence is now being heard loud and clear.

Millions upon millions of Muslims the world over DON'T WANT THIS KIND OF SUPER NON-HUMOROUS, NON-ALL INCLUSIVE OF MUSLIMS THE WORLD OVER, not really following the Koran type of mumbo jumbo and twisted sound checks by using the dates of deadliness in their lives. The true believers are not terrorists! They want peace and not the constant covered faces that designate their terrorist activities with the faces of the terrorists covered by cloth and cowardice. Cowardice and sociopathic personalities go hand in hand. Coward don't make peace... they destroy it. They hide behind civilians... children, women and other men that don't want ISIS, ISIL and all the rest around them and not anywhere else except locked up with the other sociopathic killers. They murder other Muslim people just to rack up a body count and then sell it as "appropriate behavior with their kind of twisted humor" and convince the more susceptible to strap bombs around themselves to walk into a busy street, business, etc and do nothing but kill. They always sleep well.

No place for animal of that sort!......

Look up July 7 and March 11. They are dates of terror attacks in Madrid and London in 2005 and 2004.

(25) private, September 3, 2014 6:33 PM

Sick man.

Fortunately this muslim man's delusions have no basis in reality, God forbid.

(24) Anonymous, September 3, 2014 3:18 PM

The God of Israel is the One and Only True God.

This muslim cleric is among those that are misguided.

Choudary 2, American journalism 0

Choudary got what he wanted: a platform to radicalize and recruit American Muslims to his cause. Christians and Jews might be appalled, but he's not talking to them. His British followers are British Muslims who are brought up Western, get radicalized by his calls for a new era of Muslim greatness, order "The Koran for Dummies" from Amazon, and take the next flight to Syria. He's spreading his net further. The CNN journalist's shocked response fed into his plan. He played the same game with Sean Hannity last week on Fox. That's why he doesn't answer their questions. He has a different agenda. No wonder he's smiling. He couldn't buy this kind of advertising.

(22) Anonymous, September 3, 2014 9:54 AM

It is written that in the end times, "evil will be called good, and good will be called evil". How true! I pray that the world will wake up before its too late, to the violent intent of these muslims.

satanic Religion

Cant you see this that this man is curse and all of their kind. Its sad indeed to see a lot of people in England young and old embraces this demonic religion. They have choose Deuteronomy 30. 15 death and evil rather than Life and Good. They shall receive what they speak off. .. Life and death is in power of the tongue and those that speak it shall eat the fruit thereof

I think the constant, smug grin on the Imam's face also says a lot about his belief system. The Pirkei D'Rebi Eliezer says: Why is he called Yishmo'el? Because G-d (E-l) will hear (Yishma) to the outcry of Yitzchak's children due to the suffering caused by Yishmoel's children. May H' protect us all. The Torah says that Yishmoel was "metzachek" - joking. It is interesting that the Imam, at the end of the clip, explained away his reference to 9/11 as just a joke, requiring a sense of humour to appreciate. This is the attitude of Yishmoel; it's all a big joke. That would explain his smirking expression as well. Let us hope that the Western World quickly wakes up to the threat posed by fundamentalist Islam.

I love how you gave so much many details, thank you so much for sharing.

(19) Ely, September 2, 2014 10:53 PM

The interviewer was speechless because he wasn't prepared.

These journalists keep themselves in a bubble.

Protesting to the Imam that journalists are a "special" category of people that shouldn't be slaughtered (because they are different to "Israeli's" I guess) just shows the power of denial the journalists have regarding other perspectives.

The Imam's view is very clear, we have a goal and ANY means is permissible to achieve that goal. There is Islam on one side and evil on the other... After you believe you are fighting for the greater good there are no boundaries.

What the interviewer should have asked is what is the role of the non-muslim in the world. Is there any territory in the world that should not be ruled by Sharia law or should it all be conquered...

(18) Marvin, September 2, 2014 9:58 PM

And we allow this?

The UK can condemn Israel, but allows this to go on in their own country. There must be a limit to free speech when it espouses the same hatred that caused the all the deaths in WWII- not just the Jews. . This time it will be the free world . The saying goes-those who do not learn from history at apt to repeat it. Are all the free world leaders SO STUPID?

(17) Esther, September 2, 2014 8:03 PM

Missing the point

Why do all the journalist seem to be pressing the issue and trying to see if the Moslems really mean what they say and maybe perhaps they view things our way and with reason. He keeps trying to bring the cleric around to admitting it was a bad thing to behead John Foley. So did Wolf Blitzer in his interview (on the Blood libel issue's). No one seems to understand that they actually find this the correct way to act and one can not hope they retract. If this is the behavior is called for in the Koran, then it is the full belief of all moslems. It's like the Western world has a "mental block" that just can't let them believe that beings with a human form can actually believe in such cruelty. There is so much to say on this topic, but then again what is the use. I just wish the world would also jump to the defense of the Jewish people and find it hard to believe any bad spewed forth against them from any quarter!

Radical Cancer in Planet Earth

What we see about the actions of ISIS (ISIS=ESAV or sounds like ESAV at the minimum), what we hear about this cleric are nothing less than Cancer. Cancer is the result of some metabolic imbalance in a set of chromosomes. You can defeat it via Radiation Therapy, Chemo, Surgery, etc..
Here, we have a metabolic imbalance in society's SPIRITUAL chromosomes leading to a search for G-D (ALLAH as the Muslims call it) in a perverse way. Itzhak blessed ESAV with the sword if Yakov digresses from TORAH. Furthermore, part of the blessing was that if Yakov kept the TORAH then ESAV's sword will be powerless. Now, I ask, what is the connection between ISIS and ESAV?. Here I believe is embedded the answer for the cure of society's spiritual cancer, i.e., a much more powerful cure than any of the known therapeutical procedures under the sun!

These guys are fools

Send them all back to the desert if they don't like it here....they are no different then the person they worship.

(14) BK, September 2, 2014 6:38 PM

Be cool, man...

You chose the the wrong guy for your program . You should have done some homework about him. He is a seasoned debater -please check with Robert Spencer, David Wood and Sam... By losing your cool, it merely exposed your immaturity and your inexperience is an interviewer. Chouldry just made you look stupid to accord him the air time for his propaganda.

(13) Melissa, September 2, 2014 6:13 PM

UK is changing its' policy on terrorism

Choudary - why can't he condemn the killing of one individual? (James Foley). Because the US gov't policy towards muslims in arab countries is also barbaric? Each story is specific. There is no solution to Choudary's rhetoric. A very intelligent propaganda-ist. Thank God the UK is changing their policy towards those suspected of terrorist associations and activities. This is finally taking a stand about these uprisings and breeding grounds right under the UK's nose. I normally have a very liberal attitude about this, although under the circumstances of international terrorism, i'm happy the UK gov't is now going to take some responsibility. I'm not happy that this new policy will likely mean innocent people will be harrassed by UK police - but this eventually will only be positive - positive thinking and non-radical muslims will speak out & radical islam will be exposed, even from within. This was an exceptionally good interview. Thank you aish for running this!! Baruch Ha Shem and may a permanent cease-fire continue to hold the peace in Israel.

(12) Anonymous, September 2, 2014 6:11 PM

The West is being warned by this terrorist

It was diagusting to hear thiis terrorise speaking. One thing was clear, though, they paln to get rid of not only Israel and Jews, but they are coming after all Christians in the UK, Europe, and even the US.
Now, wjen will Obama and others take ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Queida, as different nams for the same terrorists. They want znnilhilation of anyone who is not radical Islamist.
Wake up America and UK!

(11) Yaakov, September 2, 2014 6:09 PM

What did he expect?

I wonder, if you agree to interview a radical Muslim cleric, what's the big surprise? He should have anticipated the answers and having asked more questions to reveal the gruesome lies behind Islam he uses as a basis to justify murder. And of course he sould have known better you can't reason with a guy like that. Try to convince anybody "it's wrong to be like you", all the more if he's wrong, the defensive mechanisms switch to high gear!

(10) Mati, September 2, 2014 5:44 PM

This media guy ruined by showing to everyone the imam is correct.

The Imam said that there is no such thing as a radical or moderate muslim which I agree. If the law allowed, Christians would resort back to the days of inquisitions, pogroms, and crusades. "Moderate" muslims remain silent because they agree with what the "radicals" are doing. They only hold back in America because they are overpowered by population. When are those who go to Islamic countries going to learn? EVERYONE who has been beheaded, went there to HELP muslims. Are we learning yet?

(9) Betty, September 2, 2014 5:22 PM

The only interesting thing about this video was that this host on CNN could do nothing but find fault with Hannity and found out he didn't have any better luck! Bottom line is you can't reason, argue, or change the minds of these EVIL terrorists, which I would consider this guy to be!! Their all the same!!! Our hopeless administration also believes you can be friends with these guys and that they deserve to have their religious beliefs even at the expense of the Christians and Jews!! Wake up America!!!!! These people are now ingrained all over our country, ready to do whatever they have to do to make Islam the religion of the land!! There were more Muslims in the march against Israel a couple of months ago in Seattle than any other group!!! Many, many women and children! Of course our liberal news media put it all over the tv stations!! It was chilling!!!
Sometimes the women are much more hateful than the men in America and I'm sure they are instilling that hate in their children! I'm sure it is no different in Gaza!
God Bless Israel and God Bless America and pray that He protects us from this pure EVIL!!!

(8) AWB, September 2, 2014 5:21 PM

What is His Viewpoint?

One of the major problems is that Westerners simply do not know nor understand the Islamic world view. Most of those who do know and understanding their worldview refuse to believe it! No rational person can. This is because their world view is not based on "rational" (Greek based logic) thinking.

Everything Muslims think and do, is according to Mohammed's warped view of life - especially death, which is worshiped in their culture. All life, especially the life of others, is a throw-a-way commodity for the advancement of an ideology.

Domination of the entire world under the absolute control of a single Caliphate (religious and political leaders) is the goal, and any means necessary can and shall be used to achieve it.

Muslims are not moving to the western countries for a "better life" but to extend their rule, even at the cost of their individual lives. This is their historically and publicly stated purpose and goal. Why don't we believe them - and respond accordingly?

Sarah, April 8, 2016 4:16 AM

Truth hiding in Plain Sight

You are correct! Just as Hitler published his intent but it seemed too "radical" to take seriously, so the Muslim states that he is not radical but an observant muslim; the rest are just secular muslims, not practicing their religion. People who don't hear and believe him are in denial because the true muslim beliefs are too radically different from their own. Take him seriously! He means it when he says their goal it total domination of the world.

(7) cindee, September 2, 2014 5:13 PM

One thing he said was true

He said that if you believe in Islam and what it says in the Koran then you hold his beliefs. He said there is no such thing as moderate Muslims- if you practice their faith you believe in murdering your enemy. He is correct. The Son of Hamas says the same thing. Those who support murder, mayhem, the Caliphate are religious not radical Muslims. It is time we believe what they say and stop tiptoeing over the problem and maintaining there are "moderate" Muslims. The moderates are not religious, not practicing true Islam. Why do we deny this?

Joel Monkarsh, September 3, 2014 1:53 AM

Moderate Islam

Major religions do not accept murder and mayheim as part of their religious norm.

Anonymous, April 8, 2016 4:26 AM

Maybe modern western major religions do not accept murder and mayheim, but a quick look at just recent history reveals that Islam does. Failure to accept the facts will lead to death for western culture just as failure to accept the facts led to millions dead because of the Nazis. Believe a people when they tell you they intend to annihilate you, especially when they're smiling when they say it.

(6) Canuck, September 2, 2014 5:07 PM

Choudary's "defense" is the same old garbage...

...that radical Muslim spokesmen were using at the time of 9-11. Back then, they were proclaiming that 9-11 was "not so bad" as the "American-assisted" killing of "more than 3,000" Palestinian children. Choudary, hardly an original thinker, is simply using the old high-school debating trick of making false analogies. & repeating his irrational rhetoric like broken record.

GZL, September 8, 2014 10:33 PM

Scary situation

It is the same old garbage. The problem is that many people believe him. It is a scary world we live in.

(5) Dan, September 2, 2014 4:06 PM

Shouting match

It's really too bad that the interviewer started shouting at this guy instead of actually trying to defeat him in the world of ideas. While it may be dramatic and good television, this strategy just feeds into the Islamist idea of Westerners attacking Muslims.

(4) Dvirah, September 2, 2014 3:43 PM

Gives to Think

The Imman clearly believes very sincerely that his style of Islam is Truth. He does not agonze over killings and brutality since respect for life and consideration for others do not form part of hs belief system. If we accept his assertion that everything he says comes from the Koran, what does this tell us about the Koran and Islam? What does this foretell for all of us should his dream ever become a reality?

(3) rachel, September 2, 2014 3:33 PM

Terrorists must be stopped

I don't understand how this arab terrorist is on the loose and not rotting in jail, that arab is the cause of many terrorist acts in UK, he is the epitome of evil and brazenness, its crazy how the UK does not lock him up, so im not surprised if UK gets taken over by all the filthy disgusting low life radical muslims

(2) Anonymous, September 2, 2014 2:05 PM

What the Interviewee Said, in Summary

We will be brutal to you because you were brutal to us...Islam must rule because anything else is Satanism.

I believe Ben-Gurion said that what should matter is not what Goyim say but what Jews do.

(1) adam, September 1, 2014 9:01 PM

the host lost before he began!

if you have to prove yourself you all ready lost.

the cleric knows this, and knows it well, he has leveraged his position to be that of the main position, while the the host stumbled over himself to prove him wrong.

this is the issue we face in the world today.

all the PR that Israel and pro israel people are doing are coming from the position of defense,

we know that if you have to prove yourself, you are already wrong,

because the west is so scared of saying something that sounds extreme we engage in political banter that doesn't have a leg to stand on, even if we know that we are right.

if we are going to win this we need to find our platform and remain firmly planted on it,

Israel is our land, end of story, there is nothing to talk about, if people dont like that , well that is simply to bad.

Orrin, September 2, 2014 12:43 PM

Couldn't Agree More

There is no discussion to be had with those who want to kill you, or to encourage those who want to kill you.
