Thank you for sharing this, we need this report to be shouted from the hill tops!

Thank you for sharing this. I did not know 60 mil in U.S. ...
I inherently felt that this was a big contributor to people withdrawing and developing dementia, etc.
I also inherently know that technology is driving this and I am currently working on a Tech ed. degree where the readings promote tech too strongly, so I will voice this in my papers.
Thank you

We can be Lonely in a Crowd

Those are great ideas for helping a lonely person. Be sure the person is actually lonely and would welcome some help. Being alone and being lonely are different. - - - - I've found that inviting people to go with me to gatherings where they can mingle or make contact with others helps get them started. If you can invite a family member to go along it shows mom or dad in a new setting. Also local libraries have adult fun times to get together and it cost little or nothing.. The walks you suggest are wonderful. Walk around the persons own neighborhood and stop in a business for coffee or a lunch to meet others from the area. Be careful that you don't become the focus. They must reach out to make their life more inclusive of others. You can help them do that for themselves.
