Annoying habits......

People who always direct things back to themselves also seem to be insecure. For example, if I say, "I went to visit so and so whois sick," instead of asking how they are, the person will say "Oh, I have to do that also, I usually visit her once a week, but this week my car........" and before you know it we are completely off the subject of the sick person, and talking about her car and where she was supposed to go. Worse than that, if they don't feel that you've heard them, they will repeat what they said. So Annoying!! Also, people who do not think before they talk. I have heard some outrageous comments, by people who are not necessarily mean, yet had to say something not nice. My mother always told me, "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing!!

The attitude toward being asked questions is cultural.

Asking questions, to Americans, is usually as sign of interest and is considered complimentary. It seems, however, that
this attitude is cultural. An English person might well consider
questions intrusive. An English woman in Jerusalem startled me by saying after we'd been friends for a while, "Don't ask so
many questions." I was somewhat hurt to think that she didn't
see me as taking an interest in her family, her experiences, etc.
I assure you that the questions were not personal and would
not have seemed so to most Americans. I abide by her prefer-
ence and "don't ask so many questions." I hadn't even
realized I was asking "so many."

I'm annoying

Because I tell the truth. I'm a senior citizen and tell it like it is. Others complain and "yente" about things, I tell the person. So what if they don't talk to me .Best is when they write my boss for stuff outside the office.
If I see someone cheating after informing the person and they continue to cheat, I'll tell the authorities. Example, why is ok to take a parking spot without paying because you have or use a placard that is either not official or you are not authorized to use.

How do you know that a person is not authorized to use a particular placard? There is a WORLD of difference between being honest and being cruel. Do you tell someone they do not dress nicely if that is the way you feel? To quote the rabbi, that is something to think about. You sound like a very intelligent person. Perhaps you need to find a more constructive way to use your time instead of watching over everyone else.

5th annoying person- too curious!!

I thought for sure one of the top four would be this, but I can't STAND when neighbors or coworkers only want to talk to me about ME. Let me live my life and do my job and STOP ASKING QUESTIONS! Some people make you feel like you're being interviewed or interrogated or both! Annoying!
