How lucky that your wife sat a normal shiva....for a parent....not ( GD forbid) a child!!

Yes....happiness is a decision.
But when you see your family falling apart bc you need a divorce, but can't afford one, it's a tough call to choose happiness.
I look at these few words from Tehillim , Perek Lamed : "key rega apo"...( apo meaning " af " , nose) look at what's in front of your nose...not next week or next year....this idea keeps me grounded!!
And sometimes happy!!

attitude of gratitude

Thank you Rabbi Yaakov for your sensible, straightforward, simple but indeed not simplistic advice.

Thoughts and Prayers

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your dear wife, Rabbi Yaakov, and to the family of Rabbi Reuven Biermacher. May G-d bless and comfort you and all at Aish HaTorah and keep you safe... I really feel for you all. Thank you so much for your continual caring for us... Keith, UK.
