Personal Responsibility

I have seen comments made by people---on Aish too---who say things like `it must be God`s will---when what they are dealing with is based on the bad decisions they made. I mean if you decide to jump off a buiding, what do you think is going to happen? If you inject yourself with toxic materials (or your children), what do you think is going to happen? Most people are not studying or searching, they are following the crowd, what they have been taught to believe and do. To say that there is mental manipulation going on is a huge understatement in so many areas of our lives. Waze may help you get to where you want to go but that could just be another way to get what you want without thinking about why you are going where you are going.

G-d is our special partner

Blessings, Rab. It really does change one´s attitude towards life´s challenges when one has the support of the very special partner we ALL have : G-d himself ! It is amazing to feel that even the greatest trouble can be managed as an opportunity, just because G-d´s back up is there to make human beings strong, peace-loving and always full of determination . Thanks.

How do I download the G-d/Life app?

Instead of WAZE

you should let G-d lead you on the way to drive. Having software to give you peace of mind so it can turn your brain into and unused vegetable doen't fit with me. How many times have I met people who have no concept of direction because they use gps. Just like today's kids have exhausted their creativity in "what to do" when their tv or 'puter goes down, adults also have vegetated into non-thinking simpleton.

Map to Nowhere

Saying that we have a GPS for life which is belief in God tells us absolutely nothing. The hard part is to acquire a belief in God and the speaker tells us nothing about how to do this or about what we can hope to find on the God GPS. Is it really possible that AISH is totally unaware that this little talk says nothing?

In life, we do our best. Try to find a good school, job, house. Sometimes, things don't go the way we want. We weren't hired, or were rejected by someone. Even though these are disappointing, it is ultimately for the best. When we work on trusting that G-d knows best, we can live stress-free. We say, okay this thing we're in is very difficult, but we'll make it through. Thank G-d for helping us to grow, and keep praying for assistance. Then we have miracles

career and life paths

From time to time, while working 3 PT jobs at 3 different locations for some local parks, visitors coming in will ask me if I volunteer, say that I'm "taking the day off" and say "your job looks boring" - without bothering to make an offer for me for "better" employment. Although I studied 4 years in college what's in line with my current employment, it tends to make me feel devalued when there are some opinionated park visitors who think I'm volunteering, taking the day off or that my job looks boring and not bother to offer me employment for a "better" career. I've also applied to many other FT jobs related to parks online, however, there's often so many job applicants applying for the same position. At least I should always have people, resources, and Hashem to look after me and be there for me when it comes to my career and life. It's just a matter of if and when I get a good break in my career and get a FT job offered to me, which would make all the difference. Until then, I feel rather "stuck" working 3 PT jobs (and living at home with my parents).

We must relinquish our sense of " we control everything."

I do know a couple that lives exactly how Hashem wants us to live....." It's the Abishter's plan for us" they will gladly say!! Tragidy did fall their way & they still said....it's the Abishter's plan!! ( They are far from naive) I'm envious of how they navigate thru life! I hope it rubs off!!

Why can't we live stress-free & relinquish our sense that we must control everything?? We know Hashem is the Master....we just have to learn live that way!!
( is there an App for that!?!?)
