The country is 100% looking out for our safety

Unlike all other countries, we know Israel obviously tries its best to look out for the Jewish people.

Israel the land of God

It's the land God chose and loves. His presence is there and God has always defended Israel

Home

Israel is the only place I have been in this world where I felt truly at home. I have lived in foreign countries and many different states of the United States; however, it was only upon arriving in Israel 10 years ago that I had that sense of place that I was finally and truly home.

Building my fsith

By listening and reading jewish content from Israel i have found strength in my Faith than before... and its the best feeling

(24) Reuven Frank, May 12, 2019 12:50 PM

It's Jewishness

I'm also tempted to say, "Everything!"
But
When it comes down to it, it's the Jewishness of it.
The Jewish Sabbath and holidays.
The simple ability to walk and look and behave like a Jew without having to answer to anyone or be embarrassed.

(23) Joan, May 12, 2019 12:47 PM

How do I count the ways

The Most: Israel is Israel, strength, kindness intelligence, the land. The minds of the people. I am so very proud to be a Jew, and proud we have created a homeland

Happy Birthday, Israel!

When you go to Israel it is like the song "We are family all my sisters and me" (etc) even though we disagree it seems that why in Israel everyone is in everyone's business not because we are nosy but because we care about each other Israel is the Jewish homeland and even non religious taxi drivers could talk about the Torah or a Jewish motorcycle gang go to the Tomb of Rachael and put on a kipa and daven there even though some people don't look religious they sometimes act more right than religious people like I read someplace the Yeshiva Bocher didn't give his seat up to a old or pregnant lady but a Jewish Israeli Soldier that was very tired gave up his seat to a old or pregnant lady and then he was sleeping on the floor but the Yeshiva Bocher didn't (so what do you learn in Yeshiva then) but the soldier that was dead tired so to speak did (and I read this fact in a very religious magazine and the religious person was shocked too that the soldier gave his seat up and not the Yeshiva Bocher) so you never know who is who you can't judge a book by its cover so to speak "the people of Israel live" Never Again

Mirror of heaven

If you want to know God you cannot omit Israel, they go hand in hand. For me, Israel is a mirror where you can see and learn about heaven. I am thankful this country exists! I am also sad for so much hate against it...

(17) JJ Cooper, May 11, 2019 12:51 AM

What do I love about Israel? The fact that it is there. After so long in the Diaspora, we can come home.

(16) MESA, May 10, 2019 3:01 PM

When I was 7 1/2, my family and I took a trip to Washington DC. My cousins were living there and they took us on tours. In the Capitol, we were touring and were coming into a room. One of my cousins told me that the room is so beautiful that "it will knock your socks off." As we were entering, my other cousin told me "hold on to your socks." I don't remember much about that room, although it was pretty.
10 years later, I went to Eretz Yisrael for the first time for my year of study. If the US Capitol has beauty that will knock your socks off, well, it still doesn't hold a candle to Eretz Yisrael. That beauty is a beauty that gets into your bones and doesn't let go. I experienced it again when my husband and I went there for our cousin's bar-mitzvah. And again, I could feel the beauty in my bones.

Israel's love of God and the courage to stand for what is right, also the FAMILY of Jews. You care about each other.

(13) Naomi Ehrenreich, May 10, 2019 12:11 AM

In One Word . Everything

I lived there in Israel many years, and I miss it terribly

(12) Richard, May 9, 2019 7:43 PM

Just imagine what life would be like today without Israel!

I can't, or rather, I would be afraid to. At the end of the day, people are people, with all of our shortcomings. But the Torah and Hashem's blessings mostly focused in our land, is such a blessing. I hope, at the end of the day, that we will live up to his and our aspirations.

Its loyalty to the First Comandment and the Golden Rule

Its loyalty to the First Comandment and the Golden Rule

Gershom, May 9, 2019 8:35 PM

"I alone am HE - there is no other G-D - BUT ME"!

Anonymous - You're absolutely right - on the First Commandment. We - are not supposed to have - or worship other deities - than G-D. Just like G-D said - "I alone am HE - there is no other G-D - BUT ME"!

The Golden Rule - is a Xtian take off - in Matthew - of the sayings of the Jewish Prophets. Which is also a take off - of what G-D said - in the Torah - to Love your fellow - as you love yourself.

Apparently - the Arabs - feel that - the Golden Rule - is a one way street - that only applies - to the Jews - to do toward them. We are to love them - while they're trying to KILL US!
And they get really - really upset - when they attack us - and we give them - back what they gave us. WE SHOOT BACK.

Israel is first a Holy People living in Eretz Ysrael! Israel is the first born of the Almighty G.od, Praise His Name! He said: "Be holy for I´m holy"! And through The G.od of Israel we come into Holyness! Simply fantastic set apart!

When I am in Israel, I feel like it is home. It is a beautiful place that deeply touches my soul. The first time when visiting the western wall, I broke down in tears. It is truly a Place where Jews can feel they are at peace in their hearts and where they feel they belong.

(8) CHARLES ARMAN, May 9, 2019 3:42 PM

Living here

The air

The air smells heavenly...like milk and honey ...there is no other country like Israel. G-d bless Israel!

(6) MESA, May 9, 2019 3:12 PM

What do I love most? That's a toughie because there are so many things I love about it.
I love that whenever I've gone there, I've never felt as if I'm on foreign soil. Just being there makes me feel at home.
I love that you can make history just by being there.
I love that we can all feel connected to everyone there.
I love that Judaism, Torah, Mitzvot, etc, are a given.
I'm sure I'll think of more after I submit this.
May Hashem bring us all Home very soon.

WHY I LOVE ISRAEL

THE LAND OF TANACH - OUR TEMPLE - JERUSALEM AND ASHKELON JUST A BUS RIDE AWAY. A YOUNG NATION - MEETING PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. INVITING JEWS IN JERUSALEM TO MAKE ALIYAH. ASKING CHRISTIANS WHY THEY ARE HERE AND SEEING THE TEARS IN THEIR EYES AS THEY TELL OF THEIR LOVE FOR ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE AND THAT THEY ARE PRAYING ALL OVER THE WORLD DAILY FOR OUR SAFETY. TELLING THEM THAT I AM ONE OF THE JEWS THEY ARE PRAYING FOR AND HAVING THEM FALL ON MY NECK IN TEARS. SEEING JEWS AND CHRISTIANS LOOKING PAST THEIR DIFFERENCES AND REALIZING THAT WE NEED EACH OTHER IN THIS CRAZY WORLD THAT HATES US BOTH. VERY GRATEFUL TO BE HERE AND DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. A YOUNG AND EXCITING NATION. I LOVE ISRAEL!

(4) Bob, May 9, 2019 1:50 PM

The diversity of the people as well the historical and cultural significance.

(3) Melody Pierson, May 9, 2019 1:41 PM

It’s simple

Israel is timeless at every level.

The Mighty Fortress Is Our G-d

First and foremost, for me the greatest thing about the Modern Jewish State of Israel is that we finally have a means by which to defend our Jewish lives. Should there arise another hitler or Stalin in the world, G-d forbid, Jews would have a place they could escape to, plus Israel would hopefully bomb the daylights out of anybody who would do such terrible harm to our people. As long as we have Israel, I feel confident that there will never be another Holocaust. We Jews have had enough of being the world's punching bag.

My second reason for my love for Israel, is simply that it is Jewish. As long as we live outside of Israel, we Jews are forced to compromise our Jewishness in one way or another. In Israel, we Jews are in charge, so we have the freedom there to make our Jewish land as Jewish as possible. And indeed, considering how young the Modern Jewish State is, and considering how it is surrounded by extremely hostile enemies who never stop their attempts to murder our Jewish people, it is quite remarkable how much Israel has already accomplished, how much sheer humanitarianism it contributes to the world.

In short, Israel makes me feel both strong and proud.

First - It's STILL the land ......

What do you love most about Israel?
First - it's STILL the land - that G-D CHOSE FOR HIMSELF - ZION!!

It's the land of MILK AND HONEY - and FABULOUS SCENERY that - G-D gave to Abraham - Isaac & Jacob - about 4000 years ago - FOREVER!!

It's the land - where G-D - brought the Jews out of SLAVERY - in MITZRAYIM (Egypt) - AS HE PROMISED ABRAHAM and BACK TO CANAAN/ISRAEL.

It's the land that - G-D PROMISED that - IF - IF we KEEP HIS TORAH COMMANDMENTS and LAWS - HE - will protect us - EVEN WHEN WE SOMETIMES FAIL - and HE PUNISHES US - And DISPERSES US - to FOREIGN LANDS. YET - IF WE RETURN TO HIS TORAH COMMANMENTS AND LAWS - HE WILL BRING US BACK AGAIN - AND PROTECT US.

It's the land that - G-D - also invited the CONVERTS - WHO ACCEPT AND KEEP THE TORAH COMMANDMENTS and LAWS.

It's the land - where NON-JEWS - can be received OPENLY - WITHOUT HATE - and be TREATED WITH RESPECT.

It's the land -TODAY - where I - and others - can live openly as a Jew - openly keep G-D's Torah Commandments and Laws.

It's the land - where Jews - WITH TORAH MORALS AND VALUES - RESPECT LIFE - OVER DEATH. WHICH IS UNLIKE - OUR ARAB - MUSLIM NEIGHBORS - WHO REVERE - MARTYRDOM - KILLING JEWS - XTIANS - and other INFIDELS - who refuse to join them.

It's the land - where G-D WILLING - OTHER NATIONS AND PEOPLES - WILL RECOGNIZE THAT - G-D - HAS GIVEN US THIS LAND - and will HELP - and REMIND US TO KEEP G-D's TORAH COMMANDMENTS AND LAWS - FOREVER!! And never return - to INSULTING HIM - BY NOT KEEPING HIS TORAH COMMANDMENTS And LAWS.

It's the land - where I WANT TO LIVE - FOREVER - WITH MY G-D!!
