Israel is truly a remarkable country. The whole world
should be proud of and emulate it. Instead, so many seek to undermine and even destroy. They will not be able to.

Amazing
It always amazes me that when Israel is mentioned in the media or there are discussions about environmental issues none of the mind boggling statistics mentioned in the above graphic are mentioned. I don't understand it. From solar energy to electric cars and on and on. Israel is an example of what should be happening in Canada, the U.S. etc. I really don't understand. I guess understanding hurts too much. That would make us right and that can't happen.... right?

Science-based environmentalism, not sky is falling "green" activism
What is remarkable about the Israeli success in improving the environment has been the focus on using technology and rational thought to solve problems. Sadly, in Europe and America, environmentalism has been hijacked by sky-is-falling liberalism who self-hate, push for a lower birthrate, and make environmentalism into a intrusive, elitist cause. Israel has achieved much without succumbing to the hysteria of the "green" groups.

Written well, Greg
Therefore I will not repeat, but will totally agree. Isreali "green" is balanced in priority: created beings first and care for our environmental balanced. I live in the USA, and yes environmentalism has been hijacked as you wrote!

environmental awarness
When I lived in Israel in the early 80's, the pollution was terrible around Haifa and Beer Sheva. The chemicals in little streams was so strong that the water looked and smelled only like those chemicals. My husband said that the country was too young to worry about the environment. I am so happy to read about Israel's transformation with their environment!. I am so proud of them...I love Israel, even though I no longer live there.

Thank G-d I was born jewish.
The way jews have excelled as a nation and as a people has been trully amazing. What makes it even more amazing is that the Jewish people through G-d have been able to accomplish all that they have even though they have been hated by the world in general. Thank G-d for all that we have been given.

I am so proud about our country.
and I am proud, that my father in law, Dr Michael Evenari, founded the Avdath Farm in the Negev, where he (together with the Hebrew University in Jerusalem,. , where he taught for many years Botany) found out about the "runoff-farming" where 5 minutes of rain in the winter plants, fruits and trees could be grown without any irrigating water from outside. .

The world can certainly learn from Israel's example!
We in the USA should be embarrassed by Israel 's example!
