(39) Beverly Aron, October 5, 2014 12:26 AM

Thank you so much Mr. Harary! I've spent the whole day not really knowing how to DO Yom Kippur. I still feel like a "newby" in following Torah. You've really helped me understand today.
HaShem's Blessings to you sir

Yom Kippur: Coming Clean

Perfect, awesome description, helped me a lot

(35) Anonymous, September 30, 2014 4:29 PM

This was a wonderful video and very timely as Yom Kippur fastly approaches. As the child in this video needed and desired to be clean may we, too, seek cleansing from Hashem.

(34) Nancy, September 30, 2014 1:34 PM

The ways in which we ask for help

Playing in the dirt is a lot of fun for small children. What child WOULDN'T want to indulge in this activity for as long as they possibly could? Something tells me this child is as sensitive and brilliant as his father. Yasher Koach to Charlie Harary on another awe inspiring video! :-)

Great! Thanks for posting this!

Responses to Father Not Knowing and Punishing

I think that Mr. Harary's parenting techniques do not have to be ridiculed or criticized in such a public setting. If you are listening to his lectures, then you are obviously aware of this man's brilliance and ability to understand and relate to others. Don't you think he knows what he is doing as a father as well? Although I'm sure that your motives were truly sincere and coming from the best place, your comment was still unnecessary. Rather, focus on his meaningful message and attempt to live up to it...this video was about coming clean, rectifying your mistakes and being a better person. Yom Kippur was not too long ago-just because we are approaching Adar does not mean we are not required to act the same way we would by the Yomim Noraim time. We should not act in an undignified manner.
Kudos to Charlie Harary once again for an excellent video! Truly motivatating and encouraging! Thank you!

I came across this message Dec 31, 2013 and it is just as relevant as on Yom Kippur- for me even more so.

Father Not Knowing & Punishing

You should aplologize to your son. If you think that a 5 year old would jump up to attention when he was told when to leave & then you tell him he can't come to shul & that makes him cry...You just traumatized him on Shabbat. What child needs to be made to cry for wanting to go to synagogue? All the times G-d told the Jewish people to get ready to leave at a specific time & we always took our time.Imagine if G-d would have said to the slaves in Egypt I told u too be ready to leave, your bread has not risen, YOU HAVE TO STAY IN EGYPT, you took to long. As a parent be more respective of children, do not expect them to jump to your orders or else you will create more problems. We made it out of Egypt. Make sure you don't train children to go back to Egypt

very nice

(26) שמחה פערלאוויטץ, September 13, 2013 4:33 PM

the videos are really beautiful but i feel that the attractive pictures of blonde women deter and take away the message would carry so much more holiness

(25) Ya'acov B, September 12, 2013 11:40 PM

I'll use this in shul before Ne'illah.

(24) Sara, September 12, 2013 11:15 PM

Wonderful message, although I think a child should learn to listen to his dad. A father should not have to continue to ask their child to listen. Just as we have to learn to listen to God, we don't keep getting chances over and over again. At some point you have to say enough is enough. The child will think he don't have to listen right away to his teacher, other relatives, etc. I saved my 2 year old life one day when the family was on a picnic. All of sudden he went racing towards the river, he was only feet away when I told him no come back. He hesitated, I repeated my warning a second time and he came running back to me. True this is a wonderful message, at the same time we as parents shouldn't have to repeat ourselves over and over again.

You have an amazing way of connecting to my heart. I can't wait for your videos. A gemar tov to you and klal yisroel

(22) Duane Bass, September 12, 2013 4:50 PM

Live like

Everyday is a Yom Kippur.
I hope that is a correct ideology, as I is not Jewish, I just study it a lot. . .

Yom Kipur coming clean

This video was kindly shared by a friend, it's really never enough time for preparing for Yom Kipur. What I learnt this year is we can't take a holiday for granted, as if we are certain we will get there. It's actually a present from Hashem live each of them, and G-d give us live to celebrate one more :)

(20) Yehoshua Friedman, September 12, 2013 1:08 PM

Thanks, Charlie, great job

I really found it helpful for my spiritual preparation for YK.

Yom Kipper

Wow excellent vidoe

(16) r, September 9, 2013 5:06 PM

Charlie your Videos never fail to touch and inspire me! Keep it up! You prove that one man can make a huge impact.

(15) Natasha, September 9, 2013 4:54 PM

amen to that

Wow what a nice way of putting it so clearly to us. All we have to do is call on god with all our heart soul and mind and believe that he will hear us and do as we ask. He is always there waiting on us to make that call and to trust that he will answer us.

(14) Anonymous, September 9, 2013 2:28 PM

thank you for this

I had tears streaming down my face. This resonated on so many levels, as a parent and as a child of G-d. You are so right. We cannot get clean without His help, but with His help, anything is possible.

(13) Anonymous, September 9, 2013 2:11 PM

You always wow me!

You are someone who has been blessed with the ability to see things in a way that converts ordinary things into the extraordinary. But the true blessing is that you are able to share it with others so that we get to see it that way too. Thank you for all the inspiration and may you continue to be blessed with the gift that you put to such good use!
