This is a beautiful story. Everyone can sign up for the bone marrow registry. We did - through http://www.giftoflife.org/. My only regret is that I didn't have the privilege of being called on to save a life. Do it. Have the privilege of possibly saving a life.

This story touched my heart. I cannot donate marrrow as I am a cancer survivor - but if I could, I wouldn't hesitate to help save someone's life. Avishai - there is a place for you in heven!!!!

Such things happen only here, in Israel. When someone asks "will you be able to survive another war" they should see this video and they'll know WE WILL SURVIVE AS LONG AS PEOPLE LIKE AVISHAI are with us!!! Long life to all of you young Jewish people in the world!! Anny

Not Only in Israel

Regardless of how much I love Israel, Anny, you are wrong. Everyone can sign up for the bone marrow registry. We did - through http://www.giftoflife.org/, right here in the US. My only regret is that I didn't have the privilege of being called on to save a life. Do it. Have the privilege of possibly saving a life.

Thank you for sharing. I'm so moved with emotions. Indeed a Kiddush HaShem. The whole story of both families and both individual is a part of Tikun Olam.

What a wonderful story!

It was so uplifting to read about this beautiful little boy and the beautiful Ziv, who saved his life! I cannot agree more with Avichai's Grandfather, who stated that wherever he travels, he feels he can depend on the Jewish people there, to help him if he needs it. So true, as I have myself so often experienced the very same. I also have travelled a lot in my life and always sought out other Jews, was always comforted and helped by other Jews, which makes me feel so connected to my people. Nothing is more comforting to me as to know that my people will be there for me, nomatter where I am in this world!

all i can say is i watched this about 4 times and i teared up every time without fail. Ziv is such a selfless person who literally gave a second chance for this child to live a full life. May he merit in changing the world one person at a time. He should have an army of angels protecting him at all times for his amazing and pure good actions

It's great to have Ezer Mizion

It is a great thing that organizations such as Ezer Mizion exist, linking the people who want to do the good with the people who need it in such a significant way!

Thanks, Aish.com, for another great video. This is what we need - personal stories of Jews uniting in love and care.

This is very moving. May all Jewish people of whatever belief, color and political persuasion transcend their differences and strengthen the bonds they have for each other. Please Hashem make this happen.

Tears are running down my face watching this video. Ziv is truly a light to the whole world. Sometimes we can't see past a soldiers "uniform". What is so special about Israeli soldiers is that no matter what they endure they all still have big hearts and truly care about others that is so far reaching.

(5) Miriam, July 3, 2011 4:44 PM

This is so special and brought tears to my eyes. Who is like our nation?! Like they said, at the end of the day, no matter what our differences, we are all brothers, children of the same Father. Ziv and his family should be blessed.

"Mi Kiamcha Yisroel?" "Who is like your nation of Israel?" Thank you Hashem!

(3) Chane Moser, July 3, 2011 3:14 PM

Tears of Joy

Yes, I cried watching this but they were tears of joy because someone cared enough to give a small child a chance at life. Just like our Heavenly Father knows when even the smallest sparrow falls how much more does he grieve for we humans. He brings miracles from places we would never know. Treat your neighbor with kindness. Your neighbor may be your next miracle in the making.

So moving!

I am in tears...this is the kind of story that gives me hope...
