The retelling of Passover Seder and the freeing of the slaves from Pharoh.

What a refreshing way to tell through song the Passover Seder and what Passover is about.

The wine across their foreheads, to me, was to remind us of when, during the time of the plagues, G-d had hardened Pharaoh's heart. On that night, the Jews of Egypt placed lamb's blood across the door posts of their homes so that death would "pass over" all inside. The Egyptians did not, thus the deaths of their firstborn. The action may resemble someone making the sign of the cross on another's forehead as a blessing, but in that it was done with wine and the mark was straight across as well as this being a video for Passover...the reminder of the plagues was how I saw this scene in the video.

I am not familiar of any Jewish practice of putting wine from the Seder cup on one's forehead. This is what Christians do, making an actual cross with the wine. This clip shows exactly this, but stops just before the second, (vertical) line completes the cross. Can somebody please explain this visual to me. It is disturbing.

I think it was not intended to make as non Jews but just tried to replay like the lion king when the chimpanzee does so to the baby lion... in the movie
I don’t even think the makers of the video are aware of what non Jews do with the wine (I didn’t know either this custom they have )

I am not familiar with any Christian group making the sign of the cross on one’s forehead with wine. I have worked over 20 years for three churches, as an office manager.
